I paid a deposit in October of 2023 and was told my barn would be completed in 1-2 months. I continued to call them starting in January, after the scheduled time the barn should have been done, and was told they would be there next week. This went on for months. I tried to get a kit and was told they would be there the next week to build it, i agreed but they never showed up nor called. I asked for my money back and they would not give it back. I hired a lawyer that cost me money because they can't do what they say they are going to do. Once they got that lawyer letter they hire a subcontractor the same week and call it the 3rd crew. This was April 3rd. I recieved an invoice stating payment was due followed by several phone calls the week of april 15th. That week I inspected the barn. I had over 50 screws that were missing the ******. I sent an email the following week and was told they would come out and look at it. The last call was on april 19th about payment due. I recieved a call yesterday and today from them. I can not use my personal phone at work and didnt get the calls until after they close for business. I received an invoice this afternoon dated 5/3/24 it states that I have incurred 2 late fees for not answering the phone the last 2 days. I was not notified they were completed with the job and my money was due. I think it is funny that they didn't call me for 5 months while they were 3 months behind schedule but call me and penalize me for not answering when I owe them some money. Every review on your website states the same thing. Please look into this company's score. I don't mind paying what is owed to them per contract but to add a late fee because I didn't answer the phone while at work is insane. I asked that my bill be reduced by the $30 late fee and another 91 daysx$15/day for being over schedule this total is $1,365. So the total bill amount would be $4,385 instead of the $5,750 per contract.Thank You!Business response

************************* bought a sale building. At that time we were 3 to 4 months out, weather permitting, as he was told before signing the contract. We can NOT control the weather, whatsoever. We offered to sell him a kit with a small difference in the price. If he tried to sue ******* it was not us because we never received anything from a lawyer. Lying about that is very disturbing. We contacted him when the barn was finished and didn't hear anything for over 3 weeks. Where the screws was is where the ridgecap is installed. I had the guys replace it anyways so there would be no issues. We kept in contact with ****************** as far as the schedule. Once again, we can not control the weather although everyone thinks that we can. That is out of our control. We got there the soonest that we could. The balance per contract that he signed is $5,750.00. ******* was going to touch base with ****************** for the very rude vm that he left for me.
We understand that when ******* buys a building they want it right now, but it does not work that way.

I am rejecting this response because:Though the work for the original contract has now been completed, communication has still been lacking, project was not completed in a timely manner causing financial loss and burden to the customer, some portions of the work were unable to be completed (though a partial refund was given), additional verbally agreed upon work has yet to be finished nor have we received communication about it, problems with completion of the original work have yet to be resolved, and job site remains a mess.
Sincerely,

The job per contract has been completed. We were stuck with over $20,000 that we won't ever get paid on extras and plumbing. We had to wait on the customers for almost 8 months before moving forward to get their engineered plans.Customer response

Complaint: 21253762
I am rejecting this response because:The information provided by the business is incorrect. Please see attached documentation. The $20,000 they are referring to is for work that they were unable to complete. $15,000 of this was for dirt work, which the provided documentation states was removed from the contract. The remaining $5000 was a verbally negotiated discount applied in their office for other work that was either not needed or not completed (Ex. A full set of upper doors in the contract was exchanged for a few small pieces of decorative trim). All contract work has been paid in full and receipts can be provided if necessary.
The timelines listed are incorrect. A thorough description with exact dates was given in the original document letter filed with this complaint, but if we need to restate those here, please let us know.
Sincerely,
