2/8/2022 I read on the window of UPS store in Spanish Fort that they ship USPS mail. There is currently no post office in Spanish Fort. I asked the attendant to mail my box as cheap as possible. She quoted me $24.00 to ship it. I asked if that was the USPS price and she said "no that the USPS price would be even more that the UPS price". I declined to ship my package with them and drove to the post office in ******, AL. Standard shipping was $9. I splurged and paid $11 for priority. I went to the UPS Store and spoke to the manager. He asked to see my receipt. I showed him and his response was the UPS store charges a convenience fee. When I questioned the triple price convenience fee he had no response. I think this is at best bad business. The attendant should be bound to tell me the USPS price and then tell me the convenience fee. Let the consumer decide if they want to drive to the post office or pay the fee.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/15) */ I'm sorry that you felt like this is bad business but we don't get any break on postage from USPS. So we do have to mark it up to help cover our cost of being in business. The mark up isn't triple the cost as I ran the cost while you were here in the store and USPS was $21 for priority which isn't triple the cost of $11 and the $9 service option is something you can only do at the post office. So again I'm sorry that you feel this way about how The UPS Stores handle USPS.
