I hired Patriot Roofing LLC to put a new roof on my house in 12/21. I paid half the cost $14,852.03 with understanding that the balance paid upon completion. They did not finish the work and I met with Project Manager ******* ******** (XXX) XXX-XXXX to point out unfinished items. Items were completed except the front of the house with some areas of the shingles sticking up (please see attached photo). ******* insisted that I pay balance of $14,852.03 with the understanding that all unfinished work would be immediately completed. On 12/23 I wrote: Good morning, the guy to fix the front did not show up. Is he coming today so we can finalize the job? ******* responded: Yes should be there today before noon to fix the rest! Later on 12/23 I wrote: Has not made it yet. Can you please reach out so that it can be completed today. Thanks. ******* responded: Yes, called and was caught up on a project, will be there at 10 am tomorrow if that works with you. I wrote: That will be fine. On Sunday 12/26 I wrote: Hope you had a nice Christmas. Is the guy coming tomorrow morning to finish the work? ******* responded: I'm getting with Wiley now to make sure. I wrote: Thanks. With no one showing up to complete the front I wrote: Is he coming today? ******* responded: There's no way we can fix that since it's just your gutters that are bent, unless we put all new gutters on. NOTE: THE FRONT GUTTERS ARE NOT BENT, ARE FUNCTIONAL, DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE DEFECT LEFT AFTER THE ROOF WAS PLACED WAS NOT PRESENT BEFORE THE OLD ROOF WAS REMOVED! On 12/28 I wrote: What time is this guy coming? ******* responded: Waiting for my boss to let me know what's going on and when we can send him out! I wrote: As we discussed, I paid you and Patriot the balance in good faith before the job was completed with the understanding that the issues pointed out would be immediately fixed. As of today, the front has not been fixed. I want to avoid court, social media etc but will go there if needed.
