This July, I asked Trinity Contractors to repair some leaking problem for my rental house which was located in XXXX XXnd St. So., **********, AL. XXXXX., I've paid $1,504.12 to Trinity at July 8th,2021. Days later, I bought a faucet ( I already paid to store directly by myself ), and I asked Trinity contractors to install this faucet for me. Finally they charged me $424.07! I complained to a lady whose name is ****** ( her email address is < **************@trin.com >), she answered me that they reduced the bill, I still have to pay $202.00. I think this charge is very unfair and very ridiculous! Anyone may imagine how unbelievable it was! Anyway, since I paid a big amount to Trinity because of not too many works, now only this small task they want to charge me so much so that you may imagine how much overcharged on my previous bill? I already paid my old bill ( $1504.12), but this time the $202.00 was not fair. I stongly believe that Trinity overcharged on my faucet installment.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/13) */ Contact Name and Title: ***** ***** Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: ***********@trin.com Hi! We acknowledge Mr. *****'s complaint from July of 2021 as to the pricing for a customer supplied faucet and note that we did adjust the faucet invoice from $424.07 to $202.00 on July 20th when he brought his dissatisfaction to our attention. At the time of the adjustment, Mr. ***** acknowledged the adjustment via email and thanked our employee for her assistance. We were not aware that Mr. ***** was still unhappy with our services or the adjusted price until we received notification of this complaint. We do feel as though we made every effort to rectify his concerns as a courtesy for him being a repeat customer at the time of the initial complaint. The revised invoice amount is a fair price for the 1.5 hours of labor associated with the installation. In fact it is a reduced labor rate and we did not charge our standard truck charge either. The pricing is also fair in regards to industry standards for a licensed, bonded and insured Plumber. Considering it is now October and he is just now filing his complaint with no additional correspondence with us prior to doing so, we are not sure what efforts could be made at this point to satisfy him as we were under the impression this matter was previously resolved. I do have the email correspondence between Mr. ***** and our employee if you would like to review it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/10/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Days before the faucet was installed, I've paid Trinity $1504.12, since the things they've done were changing some pipes, etc., so I paid all the $1504.12 right away. days later, for such small faucet installation (I bought the faucet!), anyone was from the point of common sense, how come it could be charged $424.07?! Although it's reduced to $202.00, it's still ridiculous, unfair and unreasonable! From $1504.12 that I've paid, they shouldn't charge me so much for that faucet I bought. Years ago, I asked a company to install a faucet, they only charged me $50.00 including two small pipes! Why the difference was so big? Could they explain that? I can even tell them the worker's name and phone No. if they need. Trinity did such small work but charge me so big amount, how can they build up reputation for their business? From now on, according to their ugly behavior, who will trust them and recommend Trinity to others? Certainly I will never be satisfied with their result and answer. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2021/10/14) */ I apologize that the customer feels as those our behavior has been ugly. We have in no way been ugly as is represented within both our responses here and the email correspondence attached, both of which are the only communication we have had with the customer other than the initial service requests. Unfortunately the work performed prior to the faucet installation is not any way associated with the installation of the faucet he requested be done after the initial work was performed. We priced the initial work he references multiple times based off the work performed at that time on a time and material basis. It did not include a return trip for the installation of a customer supplied faucet. The faucet installation, as I stated, was then priced for the work performed. It has already been reduced to below cost in an attempt to satisfy the customer. He has not yet paid that for the faucet installation and obviously he does not think it is a fair price. Unfortunately, times have changed substantially since he had someone (I believe maintenance friend as referenced in his email) install a faucet for him previously. Skilled, licensed technicians are paid a premium wage because they are very hard to find. As indicated by our BBB rating, we stand behind our rates, quality of service and warranty for said work. We strongly believe the reduced price was more than fair. However, we will void this invoice balance as a resolution of good faith on our part, especially since the invoice has not yet been paid since the faucet was installed and is currently several months past due. We know who Trinity is and the service that we provide, therefore, we can be the bigger party here and acknowledge the customer will not see the value in our work regardless of how it is justified. There will be no additional responses on our behalf as we anticipate this will produce a satisfactory resolution to the customer for the complaint to be closed.
