03/19/2022 On July 17, 2021, I started the process of buying a manufactured home from Timberline Homes of **********, AL. I paid $500 down to secure a home titled "SATISFACTION." A month later, I was informed that they could no longer get that particular home. Therefore, I opted for a bigger home, titled "PRIDE" which was very similar to the original choice. At that time, I paid my deposit of $9,265 , customized the home, and signed off on it. MONTHS PASSED, and I ensured to reach out to the company WEEKLY to check on the status. According to the salesman MONTHS later/October, I was no longer eligible for the home because the price had gone up. At this point, I was willing to settle for something less/anything. Still NO PROGRESS!!! After no progress was made in October, I reached out again, and I was promised that I would spend my first Thanksgiving in my new home. By the 18th of October, he reached out to me, letting me know that the "PRIDE" was dropping in price and requesting additional documents to finalize the purchase. Per request, I submitted everything, but there was still no progress made. November came and went, still nothing. The company then promised to have everything finalized by Christmas, but did not uphold that promise/date either. On January 8th, I requested a refund, which they are refusing to honor. In addition to that, they still did not build the home I customized but rather tried to pass another home off on me that they have on the lot. My original application has expired due to their negligence, and they are not trying to do the necessary to complete the process. To buy time, they just keep asking for additional documents...soooooo UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/29) */ In response to LaQuindra's **** complaint, she is correct on some of the things that she is stating. The part that she has left out is the reason for the time lag was due to the time she took getting us condition that the lender requested to complete her loan. This something that Timberline Homes has no control over. All we can do is get the loan approved and and request the our customer's return the request conditions required by their lender. By the time she got us all of her information the loan had expired. We went back to the lender and requested an updated approval. When the lender pulled Ms. ***** credit there were some changes in her credit report and required more actions from Ms. ****. Due to truth and lending we can not discuss any of her credit information. We are still waiting on her to get this information taken care of. Ms. **** has come to us and requested a refund as she stated. It states on her receipt and our paperwork that we do not refund money if the customers loan is approved. Even with that being the case we offered to refund all except what we were going to have in expenses due to the home being ordered. On or about 2/22/2022 Ms **** hired an attorney. We have been working with Ms. **** through the attorney and it looks like we are going to be able to get her in the home and no refund will be required. We are always willing to work with our customer to resolve any and all issues at timberline Homes of Tuscaloosa.

I went to Timberline Homes in Tuscaloosa, Ala and purchased a mobile home. The mobile home was brought out to me on Good Friday of 2021. It was explained to me that once utilities are connected that someone would come to my brand new home and finish the home. Timberline sent a few contractors out to complete the home. That never happened. I called/sent emails on several different occasions and I was assured that my home would get completed. First I spoke with *****, then I was told later that Brandi was the service manager. She called me once, set up a day to come a personally view my home and that never happened nor have I received a call back or anything. This is sad, so sad because Timberline has not lived up to what they promise and my home is basically coming apart. I have a trail of emails and pictures to prove nothing has been done. I am requesting/demanding that my home be a brand new home and be completely finished. It's so may issues and I explained to ***** that, when there is a problem that doesn't get fixed, it turns into a bigger problem. Going to Timberline homes to make a purchase was a big mistake, but I am not giving up nor am I giving in until this gets resolved the right way because Timberline homes has not done what they were suppose to do. Basically my home was just brought out, set up and not completed. I will publicly do what I have to do to show how Timberline scammed me and yes I said scam, because I paid down on a brand new home with a warranty and my home is not complete.
