This business has be harassing myself and my husband and used predatory business practices to incur a charge that my husband nor I agreed to. They falsified documentation, dates, and signatures. Please see attach explanation of what has happened. I also have further documentation (upon request) to support everything that I have stated. If they are not truly offering "free estimates" it should be taken off of all of their websites and not used to lure people in.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/23) */ Contact Name and Title: ***** ******** Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: ************@gmail.com We are pleased to be able to get you the rest of the story We have a lot of information texts and photos and the agreement that was fully explained and agreed upon over the phone due to covid restrictions and respect for others We went to work for this homeowner at their approval and did a lot to assist the insurance process as that is what we do and you will see I have been sick myself with covid and am getting back in the swing of work AsI have been working on gettibng all of the materials gathered for your review We do not do free estimates our signs on our truck clearly say free inspections she got the number from our truck as we were working on another house in he4r neighborhood as do all of our websites and printed materials there is a difference and as explained we do an inspection to determine the status and condition of the roof and interior damages to determine if a repair is feasible or if we need to move forward with a claim and our first objective is to always help the homeowner get coverage for these expenses as we did her "story" is clearly just that a story to try to get out of paying for the services rendered I have to be out of town this next week and request an extension of time for us to gather all text messages emails photos the insurance report and be able to answer all of the false statements against us thank you for your assistance for we are here to serve those that call us which she did Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The information given is false and the lack of professionalism is also further shown in the response given. I will answer in order of the response given. An agreement with this company was never spoken about, read, or explained "in detail" or at all. There was mention of paperwork being sent that would detail their findings for our roof but it was never sent. I have messages further asking for the paperwork that was mentioned and the company never sent anything. Furthermore the date on the agreement that the company placed "my husband signed by phone" is invalid and false. Phone records show that my husband was not contacted on that date and no one spoke with him. Covid is not an excuse for more time to gather information, if all records are up to date and accurate then the information should be able to be pulled by anyone in office. **** ******** is not the only employee of VIP Alabama Roofing as we received a notice from someone else within the company after decided not to go with them. We did not get the company number from a truck. We got the number from a sign that only showed the company's name and number. We called and referenced getting a free estimate of which, ***** ******** told us that they would be glad to do that for us. I have text messages where I repeatedly asked for the estimate and another message where ***** ******** acknowledges that I requested an estimate. No where did she attempt to correct and say anything about only doing inspections. We were not looking for an just an inspection but also cost of repair. The mentioning of only doing inspections came after we told them we were not going to use them, as well as the paperwork and mention of an agreement. Yes, ***** ******** mentioned, as I stated before, checking to see if they would be able to get the roof covered by insurance and requested our insurance information before an inspector ever came out. They are attempting to gain payment using predatory business methods. No one would agree to use to company without first knowing what that company will charge. We especially were not going to do that with just paying money to buy our home plus having a new baby and the uncertainty of job security with a covid pandemic. They are attempting to charge for the inspection, of which she stated was free. They are attempting to charge for delivery of materials and scheduling of which we never scheduled nor had materials delivered, of which I have text messages of ***** ******** trying to get us to agree to a delivery and the repeated telling her no. We also did not agree to a date of work being done. I have messages of where I stated "sounds good" which does not constitute a firm yes and also where I told her no and I would have to speak with my husband. They are attempting to charge for dealing with insurance of which the insurance adjuster spoke with myself or my husband and we relayed the information. I have text messages that show where ***** ******** asked me for updates as well as being upset that the adjuster did not meet with them. He stated he did not need anything from them as our insurance uses HIS report and nothing from the company. I also have where the report from insurance came from me to **** ******** and not to her from the insurance company nor her to me. Furthermore to state in a response to a complaint of customer experience and issues with "her story is just that a story" is highly unprofessional and should show the caliber of the company and customer service practices. Our accounts of dealings with this company is backed by e-mail, text to the company, and text to the adjuster of which she let my husband and I know that she does not contact the roofing company. So therefore, I do not accept the response from the company.
