    On Friday August 11 I made a deal over the phone with Hyundai Crain of Bentonville. I payed in full for the 2024 Santa Cruz limited with tow package: $44,673 dollars - $1,000 credit card deposit and $43,672 by Cashiers check upon delivery. The deal was to have the 2024 Santa Cruz delivered to me on Tuesday August 15. I live 110 miles from the dealership at *** ***** ***** Road, ******** Home, AR ***** . Monday August 14th the transmission had a malfunction. That’s when I asked to be given a different Santa Cruz Limited, The salesmen told me that it was a minor problem and it was all fixed and ready to go. The Santa Cruz was delivered to me on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. The next morning I started to drive into my town of ******** Home AR. When I got 2 miles down the road and turned from my secondary road on to highway 5, as I pulled out and started the normal process of accelerating on to the main road the car stopped. Fortunately, there was no one coming up behind me or it could have been deadly. The car behaved erratically for the next few miles, so I turned around and went home, called the dealership and had them come tow the car back to the dealership where it still sits today waiting for a new transmission. Friday make the deal; Monday it has a transmission problem; Tuesday I’m told the transmission was a minor problem and it is ready to go; Wednesday night the Santa Cruz is delivered; Thursday morning I can’t make the 10 mile drive to town without the transmission failing. I personally have driven the car less then 20 miles in total. I believe that Hyundai Crain of Bentonville knowingly sold me a Hyundai Santa Cruz limited with tow package that was defective, despite my request that they sell me one without a defective transmission instead. I opened a claim with Corporate Hyundai. My case # is *******. My case manager is **** ************, ext 53055. He does answer the phone. Now I just want my money back.
