5/4/2024 107.54 drafted from my account. A monthly plan was set up in December, but due to medical issues, I had to stop going- my last visit was in February 2024. Due to focusing on my health and issues at hand, I did not recieve any services in March or April, but still paid. On 4/10/24 I stopped by to cancel my contract, and was advised my card would be charged again in May. I sent an email requesting full contract cancellation immediately after leaving the salon on 4/10/24 and provided more information than necessary. I did not hear ANYTHING back until I received a voicemail on 5/4 stating they would offer spray tanning services. This is not something I can or would want to utilize. I requested my card draft be cancelled, and the owner said “I tried to call, I’ll try again Monday” that would have been on 5/6, but no call came & the money was still withdrawn. I would like this amount from May to be refunded. Due to the company collecting enough money with 0 services provided for two months already.

We didn’t hear anything from ******* ***** until April. No phone calls. No emails. When she came in the employee working filled out the 30 day noticed required by the contract and had her sign it. ******* ***** did not request for me to call her or give any reason medically why she couldn’t tan. I called her and never received a call back. I will try again this week.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

medical reasoning was provided in person and through email on 4/10. They also have it noted in their system that my skin is sensitive to chemicals, therefore spray tanning that was “offered” in place of a refund is not a viable solution. There have been multiple emails back and forth between myself and the business. Where he insists on trying to call, however, I prefer email communication to have a paper trail. As they have proven to be dishonest in business practices, as mentioned in other complaints.

Please provide a full refund for the final amount charged on 5/4.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

      ********

1, we never received a phone call, email, or in person attempt by ******* to tell us about anything until 4/10/24.
2, when I asked the employee you spoke with that day she said you filled out and signed the cancellation form and didn’t ask could I reach out to you because of medical reasons.

      3. Anytime someone is medically found by a doctor to no be able to use services we simply have doctor email us and we take care of immediately.

      4. I have tried calling ******* from day one and made myself available. I’ve left messages to no avail.

      5. The very first email ******* sent was aggressive and attacking business saying I was taking money from someone who was medically not able to tan and trying to squeeze every cent from her? She sent the email when I had no idea about situation and we had never discussed anything that was happening to her.
      6. I’ve been in business locally for over 25 years. I always try to reach out to every issue directly. The few people I haven’t been able to help wanted us to change the rules for them after the fact and threatened to call bbb or leave reviews if we didn’t.
In closing the bbb has said in their email that both sides need to change/compromise to meet in the middle to achieve an outcome.

******* said she was diagnosed with melanoma can she please have the medical facility email us when this was for our records and I can take care of this for her. I’ve tried to have this conversation via a phone call with ******* numerous times but instead of calling me back she throws insults at a business and says she doesn’t feel comfortable calling to handle this quickly.

just like the bbb said the back and forth doesn’t help something that one return phone call could have handled
