On July 14, 2015, BBB initiated an investigation on All My Brothers Moving after receiving three complaints in a short period of time from consumers that stated that furniture was damaged, the movers were inexperienced and the company often arrived late or not at all.

During the course of the investigation, BBB was able determine that Alfonzo "Al" Williams is also associated with 1st Place Moving Company and Top Notch Moving L.L.C.

According to the company's website, www.allmybrothersmoving.com, they provide intrastate and interstate moving services. They also claim to be licensed, bonded and insured. On July 21, 2015, BBB confirmed with the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department that the company does not hold the requisite permit for Intrastate moves nor could we confirm licensing through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for Interstate moves.

On July 22, 2015, BBB sent a letter to the company seeking confirmation of company's headquarters location, business owner's name, addresses of the eight service locations listed on company's website, USDOT # and MC# as required by the FMCSA , permit # as required by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department and insurance. As of August 7, 2015, the company has failed to respond to our letter.

Get at least three written in-home estimates. No legitimate mover will give you a firm price online or over the phone. Remember that the lowest estimate may be an unrealistic low-ball offer that can cost you in the end.

Make sure the mover has insurance. The insurance should cover your goods while in transit. However, you may want to consider getting full value protection (insurance), which may add to the cost upfront but could save you headaches after the move. Be sure you understand what the insurance covers, whether items will be repaired, replaced or if you will be offered a cash settlement that you can use to repair or replace the item on your own.
