On Feb 24 a ice storm swept across Arkansas my entire community raced to book hotels expecting to be without electric for days. To my surprise power was quickly restored so I canceled my reservation well before the 4pm cut off for cancelation. The website stated pay at the desk and my card will not be charged.. At 7pm I lost power again. All hotels are now full so now me and my disabled child are stuck in the cold with no electric for two fulls days. Unable to get a room because I'm poor we live on sec 8 and SSI. The $138 being held by quality inn is all the money we have. It it my emergency fund. Long story short the hotel still has not released my money. When I call ***** very nicely tells me I am entitled to have my money released but offers no explanation as to why it is not. They keep asking me to wait another week. Now my cell phone is disconnected and I can't even call and beg for my money anymore. Can anyone help me. Confirmation number XXXXXXXX. Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/04/05) */ We have sent over proof that the credit card was never charged. We send it only through fax, but my front desk agent sent it from her personal phone just so we could resolve this matter quickly with the guest. I have the proof as well, it was voided and never charged since 2/24/22
