DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE! COCKRELL Auto or B&C Auto Sales is CROOKED and definitely doing business ILLEGALLY. July 10, 2023, they repossessed my vehicle and said I haven't made a payment since February 2023. I purchased the vehicle in October, 2022 and made monthly payments by mail with money orders and sent self addressed stamped envelopes every month (because they dont have a credit card machine, so you have to either pay cash in person or send money orders). The last payment I made was May 24, 2023 and when I produced receipts from the money orders I purchased, the owner and his grandson who runs the carlot, COTY, stated that they never received payments. Mr. Norman, who is the owner was very rude and stated at first that I would have to pay $2100 to get caught up. I showed up the NEXT day with $2100 to get caught up and let them know that I was getting tracking on the money orders that they claim they never received from the post office, and they then told me that I would have to pay the entire balance of the vehicle ($10,000) in order to get my vehicle back. Since I didn't have the $10,000, I was told to get my belongings out of the vehicle and that was his final answer. During those months that they claim they never received payments, the NEVER called or send any correspondence stating that I was behind, when I asked why they never called, his response was: "We dont call people we just let them get behind and dig their own hole" Since then, I've had to pay for the post office to track those missing money orders ($17 each), and waiting to hear back from them and once they investigate, They're very unorganized, they literally record payments on a 3x5 index card in pencil. The owner, Mr. Norman was VERY condescending and rude and his grandson, Coty seems to be doing something illegal as he was quiet as a mouse when I raised the issue about the missing money orders.
