I noticed a charge on my debit card this evening for $291.35 that I did not authorize the description is "AT&T KXXX XXXX E" its for an amount that I do not rigorize and that I never made. I paid my bill for AT&T on 9/24/21 for $226.43 which I did make. I believe that the charge of $291.35 is fraudulent and contacted the number on the back of my card immediately as I believe that this is some company pretending to be AT&T. I was trying to catch this charge in time while it was pending before it actully drafted from my account. Unfortunately the bank doesn't actually have a system in place that stops these charges from going through while pending. I was advised to call back during business hours but unfortunately by that time this charge may go through. I just simply need to know what this charge is and have it removed. Since the bank doesn't have a system for me to dispute this in real time I am writing to try and get this resolved.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/30) */ Spoke with consumer explained Mastercard combined two AT&T debits in the pending hold record. They were both verified with consumer to be correct. The combined debits were the amount the consumer was concerned about. I further explained the night call center agent placed a block on the card until the the call could be resolved. The call was resolved the next day a Saturday morning Consumer stated she had forgotten to update the complaint. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2021/09/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I accept the response from Telco. I spoke with a young lady the next day in customer service who was great at researching and resolving my issue. The representative was knowledgeable, friendly and I was very impressed by how swiftly she resolved my issue. Thank you again for resolving my issue so quickly.
