I was invited to Arkansas Singles to speak to a lady about how they work. I talked to the lady and she asked me several questions about where I work and what my income range was. She said it was to make sure that I was qualified to be a client. She explained how they worked and then told me that the complete total was around 5000.00 dollars. I immediately told her she was out of her mind and begain to walk out of the office. She stopped me and said that she would drop the price to half. I again told her I was not interested. She talked to me some more and I told her I would have to go home and think about it. She stated that I would have to put down a 200 dollar deposit to keep that price and I had 24 hours to decide. I called her the next day and told her I was not interested. She kept my deposit and account information and filled out the contract with half of my info that was got off line. She also signed my name and didn't even spell my name right. This is now in collections.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/01) */ Mr. ******* joined our service on 10/2/2017. The policy on cancellation is clearly covered on the face of the contract under the bold heading Cancellation and ends with a statement that Mr. ******* initialed stating that he read and understood the policy. If Mr. ******* elected to cancel prior to receipt of his first introduction, he was to be liable for $2000 of the membership fee for liquidated damages. Mr. ******* signed the executed contract, the credit card charge slip, the background check form, the financing paperwork and the new member critique where he stated that he was excited but cautious about joining and that he was treated cordially and professionally by our representative. All of the signatures appear to be a good match for the signature on his driver license. Our rep printed the name with an a instead of an e, but that has no bearing on the signature...it is only in the areas where she filled out the information on the contract. Mr. ******* only made one of his scheduled payments and his account was turned over to a collection agency about 3.5 years ago, in March of 2018. His account is not eligible for any write off. He will need to contact the collection agency and work with them to resolve this collection account.
