I am a customer of AR Democrat Gazette and have been for many, many years. I live in Magnolia and get a physical newspaper on Sunday only. I have probably received 4 Sunday newspapers in the past 6 to 8 months. Each time I call to report my paper not being delivered, I get the same apology and promise that the paper will be delivered the next week....sometimes it is for 1 Sunday and sometimes not. I have direct payment. One month they debited my account 3 times for payment of the paper and I still didn't get it!!! I am soooooo frustrated with their lies. We’re very sorry to hear about the frustration you’re having with the delivery of your Sunday paper. One of our managers has tried to call you these past 24 hours since we received the notice. We strive for 100% accuracy on our deliveries and realize that we sometimes have a miss. When we do have an issue, we credit any missed deliveries we are not able to replace in a timely manner. Also, your subscription does include complete access to the digital edition on our iPad. We show that we have credited your account for the missed deliveries that we are aware of - but when we can talk, we’ll make sure we have it covered. When you had three charges in January - that was due to your credit card not accepting our charges in December or November - leaving us with three months due. Again, we apologize for the frustration here and will work to make sure that your experience is the best it can be moving forward.Initial Complaint

I've attempted since January to get someone to respond to Newspaper not being delivered daily. The newspaper is sporadic in delivery and papers have been missed for 3 & 4 days at a time. I've called numerous times for a Manager to call me back, radio silience. We pay $49 per month and would to get this resolved. Didn't receive papers for April 14, 15, 16th. I requested a Publication Watch. Customer Services always said they will direct to Manager, not return call. I'm requesting for a response. Our papers are delivered by mail and would like to know what's going on with Publication Watch.Business response

She understands her paper will be a day late and it is the postal service responsibility to deliver her paper We deliver papers to the post office 1 day after the publication date. They are mailed out as 3rd class. I have checked our mailing reports and a label is being produced for her every day. They need to contact me, we understand the paper will run a day or 2 behind. There are days we get 1 paper out of the week, it's hit and miss weekly. I reassured her that we are delivering each paper to the post office each day and that once we do, we no longer have control over the delivery and not able to track. She stated she spoke with someone with the postal service and is concerned that the problem is with the local mail carriers. We talked about our digital options but that would not work for her mother. The daughter mentioned that she is going to change delivery to another address to see if the problem continues or stops. l opened a case over a year ago with the paper after one of their sales men at an event sold me a subscription with fraudulent information. They basically said if I took the paper for 1 month I would get a free tablet. I questioned it and asked directly..so you are saying I can cancel after 1 month and keep tablet. answer was yes..and I had a witness standing right with me. so I took it. After a hassle to stop it I opened a BBB case. they dropped it and cancelled subscription. the end... until tonight. some ******** dude claiming to be some bounty hunter guy shows up at my daughters house threatening her about the tablet and making threats. So I need. 1.. the old case to show them 2 get this case in front of themBusiness response
