Never had internet issues like this before! The internet services in my area experienced an outage on Friday evening. My neighbors and I received text notifications. After 3 hours their internet was back on. After 20 hours, multiple inquiries via online chat, and 2 phone calls later I’m still without internet. I think something is messed up with my line. I asked to have a technician come out to inspect on Monday (tried being empathetic to it being a weekend). I was denied because there is an “outage”. I explained I’m the only one experiencing the outage and I would like assistance. Otherwise, when the outage miraculously is “resolved” and I’m still without service, I’ll have to wait an additional 2-3 days for a technician estimating a week for service to be restored. I tried being patient. I asked to speak to a different representative when I was then placed on hold for 40 minutes! I called from another number and let them hear that I was still on hold on a different line. Basically they thought they could just put me on hold and I would give up. I don’t know if I’m more mad about not being able to get any assistance or being ignored! Worst customer service I have EVER dealt with. Kinetic has my area monopolized with internet service so I am at their disposal. What am I paying for if I can’t even put in a ticket request?!?Kinetic Response

we got our internet from Kinetic, in the first few months it was ok, after a while it became crappy. Recently after 3 months of service my $39.99 a month for 1 year they increase my monthly charge at $115 and i have to fight to get my $39.99 a month back and they did. i have to restart my modem at least 8 times a day, I have a tech appointment scheduled on July 15, 2024 Monday and now since I put 3 bad reviews on YELP they change my appointment on the Saturday July 13,2024 and I called the call center and said they can't put it back on the 15th of July. Those people don't deserve to treat people this wayKinetic Response

This company should not be legally allowed to operate anymore. Internet services are spotty. The speeds promised were never attainable with whatever package we were paying for. The bill just kept going up and the speeds would raise, but not significantly. Horrendous customer service. Constant price increases. We had a modem and a router (one of which we bought independently) and were told that they couldnt help us with any service issues bc we didnt buy it from them instead of offering options that would help us. They had been charging the service surcharge for months though with no refunds for that either. Husband works from home and depends on the internet. Got calls from his office about why his hotspot was kicking on so often (due to wifi interruptions). They claim they don't prorate, and don't comp no service days. Apparently our billing cycle starts on the 14th, I called to cancel on the 20th, paid that months service. Now the 11th of the next month and were being charged again. Called to see why because I didn't think we paid ahead a month for service and was told we hadn't canceled in time and theres nothing they can do about it?! No router has even been plugged in bc were still waiting on the envelope to return it after being insistently told that we would be charged for that too if it wasn't returned by a certain date. Beyond annoyed and I feel like I've been robbed for the entirety of our "services" with them and trapped with no other internet option for our area until now.Kinetic Response

Nightmare! Unfortunately I’m dependent and have no choice but Windstream in my area. The process of calling and getting the installation date was horrific and took 5 different calls!! Finally I received a girl that was very helpful and apologetic for the troubles I had experienced. She got everything arranged and a date set. When said date arrived I was told there wasn’t all the equipment that was needed to install my service and he would have to contact his engineer to try and get the unavailable parts. Next thing I know I had received a message saying my services was CANCELLED!! On the phone again I went…the gentleman was extremely nice and assured me I would have no more issues. On the day of next installment got a message saying it was postponed!! I HAVE NO CLUE why this is such an issue considering my family that live in the yard has this service! It’s absolutely disappointing since I have a son who’s school is starting soon and we really need INTERNET CONNECTION. Come on Windstream let’s do better than this!Kinetic Response

Wednesday before the 4th of July I contacted Windstream because my Internet service was not working and a line was laying across the road in front of my house. They told me that the earliest appointment was Tuesday the 9th and that they were not concerned that the line was laying on the road. On Tuesday they did not show. My wife contacted them. They stated that they had emailed me to confirm the appointment. I didn’t receive an email. The appointment was canceled and they stated the next appointment would be another week. What a joke of a company. Their line create hazards in traffic and they provide no emergency service to take care of it. Also to make a Customer wait two week before someone ever comes out to look is ridiculous. I wish I could put negative stars.Kinetic Response

The internet and phone service is so bad dial-up did a better job. No rain or storms and you loss service why? God forbid an emergency happens can’t use the home phone to call for help. For over at least 8 years when it rained the connection would get wet and making the home phone call three digit numbers like 911. The police would show up to make sure everything was ok. Sometimes this would happen in the middle of the night 3am. Waking everyone in house up. After about 6 years of this they just stopped showing up. You could imagine what would happen if we really had an emergency. The price is way too high for I a service that is on and off way too much.Kinetic Response

This is a terrible company. Very poor customer service. I was given many options for different pricing when they knew I was gonna cancel once I told him I was gonna cancel. They said they can’t prorate and are charging me for the full month very very rude and poor customer service.Kinetic Response

We just got service about a month ago. No issues with the people who set it up in person or the local sales representative. We noticed no auto pay had been drafted so we called the 800 customer service number. Worst customer service we have ever had. The online portal would not allow us to sign up for auto-pay; after numerous calls, we talked to someone in the financial department who said that we had had issues with our checking account in the past and we were not able to use it for auto pay now. When asked what the issue was, they just kept repeating that, we asked to speak to a supervisor and was so upset, hung up. When we called back they said that since we hung up the supervisor would not speak with us. We truly regret giving windstream a try again, lesson learned and we will make sure to tell all of our friends and family about how we were treated.Kinetic Response

Call three times in the last month fighting with kinetics to get that $200 rebate. Set up for automatic bill pay and they claimed I was late after in fact overcharging me $11 a month for a modem I did not have! They then apologized and said it was an error on THEIR part!! Now they claim there's nothing they can do and I have to start the criteria all over again another 45 days to get my $200! For their mistake! Stay away!! I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SCAM! Not to mention my internet's not working! Call spectrum they're offering a fantastic deal!!Kinetic Response

Windstream has HORRIBLE customer service. Our internet stopped working while we were on vacation. Took 2 days to come out. Had trouble getting it fixed. The technician, Chris, left and within 15 min the internet stopped working. I called Windstream immediately and they tell me they cannot get in touch with the technician and it will be another 2 days before anyone can come out. My husband and I work from home but now can’t do our jobs because we do not have internet. DO NOT use this company! Even if you have to pay more with someone else, do it!Kinetic Response
