I am having an issue with a local office of the Penske company. I received a somewhat threatening letter at my home address with the name of a business that I know nothing about. ******** *********) I called and left a message with the local Penske office on Wednesday, July 24th,2024. I followed up on yesterday, Thursday, July 25th, 2024. I spoke to a Phillip who gave me some information regarding the person linked to said threatening letter. (Indeya Oliver) He then transferred me to Lindsey whom was not very assuring or convincing that their company (Penske) had taken responsible action when leasing from their company's fleet. I asked ******* could it have been a typing error and she said,"No, we do scans." Per *******, they scan people's drivers licenses at time of lease. I asked what she meant by scanning and if she meant the barcode on the back of a drivers license and she responded with a yes. Well, we all know the barcode on the back of a license has all of a person's personal Information on file with the issuing state/driver control. I then reached out to a Little Rock Police Officer who I am awaiting a call back from. I then called the state driver control office and spoke with *****. Per *****, the only known subjects with drivers licenses linked to my address were myself, and my oldest daughter. I asked ***** is there ANY way that a state issued barcode could be duplicated, issued twice, removed, or otherwise and still be used and Per *****, that was a NO! So, with that being said...we all know the state driver control has a wide range database and knows who it issues IDs and DLs for. So the only conclusion that I can draw is one of Penske's employees is likely being untruthful. Is it possible they rented someone a vehicle/truck from the company and failed to follow and/or violated company policy by NOT scanning a valid drivers license but simply took a VERBAL disclosure. Not acceptable. I want their main headquarters involved to investigate/Follow Up
