On July 6th, 2024 I purchased a 2019 **** Flex. After remitting payment, ($24,000 Cashier Check and $1900 Cash... the cashiers check has cleared my bank) **** Hallum would not give us the title. He said that he has someone come in once a week to fill out the titles and that the title would be mailed out by July 9th, 2024. I contacted **** again on July 10th, 2024 to make sure the title was on the way an **** said it should arrive no later then Monday July 15th. The title did not arrive.I texted **** on July 16th, 2024 and asked if the title was in the mail. **** said, "I'm out of town, will ck when I get back." I then stexted ****, "When will you let me know?" and he didn't respond.I texted **** again on July 17th, 2024, and asked when we could expect the title, and he hasn't responded to that message either.Initial Complaint

On January 26th, 2024, we had an appointment to purchase a vehicle from Hallum Motors. We flew to *******, from ******* to purchase the vehicle. A deposit of $2,000.00 was sent ahead of this visit and the balance of $27,900.00 was paid in full with a cashiers check on January 26th, 2024. We were told that the clerk that processed the titles was on vacation at this time, but that the title would be sent to us when she returned next week. We took possession of the van at this time and immediately put insurance on the vehicle. A period of approximately 4 weeks went by where we still had not received the title. After multiple phone calls, emails and text messages, we learned that Hallum Motors did not even have possession of the title. On February 28th, 2024, we finally received a title. We went to the Florida DMV on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, and were told that the title was invalid because it was filled out incorrectly. We immediately notified Hallum Motors of the problems with the title and the necessary documents needed in order to validate the title. Despite many text messages and phone calls, Hallum Motors notified us on Friday, March 29, 2024, that they had applied for a duplicate title. On Monday, April 29, 2024 we received the duplicate title. We returned to the Florida DMV on Thursday, May 2, 2024, only to learn that the title was still incorrectly, filled out. We immediately returned the title via overnight **** with a confirmation showing it was delivered to Hallum motors the next morning. As of today, May 22nd, 2024, we still do not have a title and are unable to plate and drive the vehicle in the state of *******. The owner of Hallum Motors is not responding to text messages or phone calls. We have had the van for three months now, and we are unable to register it, plate it, or drive it. Florida will no longer provide temporary tags for this vehicle.
