They installed a gas valve (temperature control valve) on my hot water tank on January 12. The valve malfunctioned. On March 8 the same installer came and determined that the valve was not calibratedhis words. To this date Dewey and Sons will not respond to my phone calls, will not call back. Shouldn't a company stand behind the products they sell and install? Wouldn't a simple fix be to replace the defective valve? Request refund of (#1) original amount paid for product and service of $574.01 (Invoice #XXXXX) + (#2) additional amount paid for service call on January 25 saying I had no leak and charged $70.00 (Invoice #XXXXX), for a total of $644.01. We will have to find another plumber and pay again to have a proper work done. We cannot stay without hot water any longer.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/13) */ WE HAD TO WAIT FOR NEW GAS VALVE TO BE SHIPPED AND DELIVERED. AS SOON AS WE FOUND OUT WHEN THE VALVE WOULD BE DELIVERED, WE CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER. WE ALSO FOUND A NEW WATER HEATER THAT WOULD FIT THE SIZE OF THE WATER HEATER CLOSET. A NEW WATER HEATER WAS INSTALLED IN THE WATER HEATER LOCATION. WE WILL SEND THE GAS VALVE BACK TO THE SUPPLIER FOR REFUND. WE WILL GIVE THE CUSTOMER CREDIT ON THE COST OF A NEW WATER HEATER. WE HAD ADVISED THE CUSTOMER AS SOON AS WE FOUND INFORMATION OUT, WE WOULD CONTACT THEM. UNFORTUNATELY PARTS AND MATERIALS HAVE BEEN HARD TO GET. WE FIXED THE ISSUE AS SOON AS WE HAD THE MATERIAL. SITUATION HAS BEEN RESOLVED. THANKS
