I am writing to you on behalf of my elderly parents. My mom (84 yrs old who is deaf) and my step-dad (87 yrs old who is hard of hearing) took their 2015 Hyundai Tuscon (24,000 actual miles) out to Crain of NLR on Oct 19, 2022 for a safety recall on the Anti-Lock brake system module. After a 3 hour wait for something that should have only taken 45 minutes, they were told the mechanic had trouble restarting the vehicle. Finally got it started and as they are about to drive off my step-dad notices the lights on the dash are on. The 'then' service manager said they could go ahead and drive it home and come back the next week to allow them to hook it back up to the computer to restart the system. On their way home, they notice the cruise control doesn't work either. They bring their SUV back to Crain the following Wed. Oct 26, 2023. The service department was unable to fix the problem and said they would have to keep their vehicle. It is March 2023, and they still have my parent's vehicle. At first, I went out there every Wed. for over a month as that is my day off to try to get answers and all I got was a runaround saying "They were working on it" etc. Fast forward to this past Wed. March 8, 2023, I went out there again to try to get answers. I spoke with the new Service Manager as apparently, they keep having a big turnover in staff. He told me they don't have a mechanic and all they can do right now is oil changes and tire rotations. Seriously! I told him I wanted to see my mom's SUV and start it as it ran when we dropped it off on Oct. 26, 2022. For about 10 or 15 minutes, he couldn't even find her work order or the keys. After finally finding the keys, we found her car on the back lot. The car would not start and it had been taken apart on the inside console and just left like that. I have pictures that I took but not too sure how to load them on here. I can send them in the mail if I need to. We just want their SUV fixed. It is like brand new except for the year.
