I haven't gotten a email confirmation confirming my membership, I signed up for the membership and downloaded the app yet I have five entries and no other benefits mentioned when signing up please refund purchase price and cancel the membership. I was also charged on a separate card twice even though it said payment wasn’t excepted on the billing page. Please runs or stop payment for those charges.Business Response

Unfortunately you misspelled your email address when signing up and would need to sign in with the misspelled email address to view those entries. Your membership has been cancelled moving forward. One Country makes it extremely easy to sign-up and become a member, gladly taking your money via a monthly auto-payment with a credit or debit card. However, they also make it very difficult to cancel that subscription/membership. There is no where on their website that allows you to cancel your membership/subscription. They provide a telephone number that goes straight to voicemail. Then one has to wait for them to return the call, if they ever do. A company backed by the BBB seal should be held to a higher standard, or even a basic standard of having a customer support department and/or a website that allows one to manage their account.Business Response

On 6/11/24, ****** CEO of One Country, sent an email what the One Country membership could mean: 'You can alternatively receive an equal number of entries by using our mail-in method. In order to use the mail-in method to gain entries in a specific giveaway, you must hand-write complete on a 3” x 5” card or paper: (a) full name; (b) e-mail address; (c) mailing address; (d) telephone number; (e) date of birth; and (f) description of the giveaway you are entering. Insert the card in a standard-sized envelope, including your hand-written return address (including your first and last name) and our mailing address of: **** ** ******** ****** *** ***** **** ******* ** ***** and mail your completed using proper postage. Each mail-in entry will receive 300 entries into the specific giveaway described on the card. Each card valid for entry into only 1 (one) specific giveaway. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by the giveaway’s “Deadline to Enter” as described in the “Legal Information” section and received by close of business 4 (four) days after the “Deadline to Enter.” Each envelope must be mailed individually and bulk shipments will not be accepted and will be destroyed. All mail-in entries must be original with no photocopies or reproductions of any kind will be accepted. To be considered a valid entry, all mail-in entries must include all requested information and format, as stated above.' Prior to this email, the "FREE Alternative Method of Entry" was entering ONLINE for: a Lakefront Ozark Cabin or $1,000,000; a 2023 Ford Raptor R or $115,000; a Dream Lake House or $1,000,000; a 2023 Super Air Nautique G25 or $238,000; the "Locked Up" tour experience (a trip to see Sam Hunt); a 1970 GMC 2500 4X4 or $64,000. Complaint: ********I am rejecting this response because: You have not addressed my complaint that you changed the Alternative Method of Entry IN THE MIDDLE OF the entry periods! I do not believe this change IN THE MIDDLE OF the entry periods is in compliance with legal requirements and certainly is a very questionable move regarding your non-paying, non-membership customers. I believe you should have introduced the alternative method of entry 'mailing in post cards' when you offered a NEW giveaway/sweepstakes. This has put a very bad mark on your 'support' of our Military Members; of which, I am one. Also, I do not believe the mailed in entries are equally eligible for the giveaways...how does that work??? How do the online entries get mixed in with the mailed in entries so that ALL entries are equally eligible? You really do need to change your name from OneCountry to OneCountryIfYouHaveMoney! You have lost my respect.
Thank God that HGTV, TLC, Food Network, Valspar, WayFair, and Zillow, to name a few(+) DO allow ALL PEOPLE, regardless of their status to pay for goods or services, to enter their giveaways/sweepstakes!!! I have NEVER seen a business switch their method of entry DURING a giveaway/sweepstake... Shame on you-God sees ALL.

This place promotes contests. They have a date for when the drawing is. However; that date comes with "around" as in "around the 11th". Yet; for that whole month no mention of a winner and the prize is taken down. If they had a drawing then why isn't the winner mentioned.Business Response

Within ten (10) business days of a Giveaway closing, One Country will use an automated random drawing process, determined by One Country, to draw a potential winner for that Giveaway. A confirmation process, which may include a background check, will then take place to ensure the potential winner meets the legal standards required. The winner and (if applicable) his or her guest(s) agree to cooperate fully with One Country in One Country conducting any background check(s), which includes providing information requested by One Country including, but not limited to, full legal names and addresses. If the prize of such Giveaway includes meeting a celebrity, meeting a public figure, or attending a special event and any background check indicates, in One Country's sole discretion, that the potential winner or the potential winner's guest(s) pose a danger to or may harm the reputation of any person or entity involved in the Giveaway, One Country may disqualify said winner and move on to the next randomly drawn potential winner. Pending a positive outcome of the confirmation process, a One Country representative will notify the potential winner via email and/or phone. The potential winner must respond within the ***e period designated in the notification (or otherwise within five (5) days of such attempt at notification by One Country if no ***e period is given in the notification), or One Country may, in its sole and absolute discretion, either (i) select another randomly drawn potential winner in accordance with this Section 7, or (ii) continue to attempt notification of the existing potential winner until such ***e as One Country makes successful contact with such existing potential winner or decides, in One Country's sole and absolute discretion, to select another randomly drawn potential winner in accordance with this Section 7. We hate to see this information rejected! We provided Section 7 of our Official Giveaway Rules in our previous correspondence. Our Official Sweepstakes Rules are public information listed on our site for participants or potential participants alike to to review prior to entering one of our giveaways.
We understand all frustration however circumstances outside of One Country's control can extend this process such as again, response ***e form finalist or rejection of the prize and moving forward with the next finalist. Each require a process of legal documentation and finalist clearance.
Please note, the reason a giveaways may no longer be displayed on an account is for two reason the first being the user is signing in with the wrong email address or secondly because once a giveaway ends, the giveaway moves to the inactive giveaway or "past giveaway" section on your account and is no longer counted in the total for active giveaways.

I am rejecting this response because:being "inactive" has NOTHING to do with that particular giveaway not even being listed. You have other giveaways listed that are inactive. And to claim MONTHS LATER that other "circumstances" are the reason the winner hasn't been announced is something you should save for a 5 year old who MIGHT belive it. The bottom line is; you have a giveaway contest which months later still hasn't ben presented with a winner and even disappeared.

According to commercials here in Florida one country has in small print no purchase necessary so when you go to try and enter their sweepstakes, they are telling you you have to purchase a membershipBusiness Response

I have sent 3 separate emails over the last 3-4 months to the [email protected] email to cancel my membership. I also tried contacting them through the “contact us” form on the website. I have repeatedly sent emails to their customer support (only option) over the past 6 weeks to have my membership canceled. I have been trying to cancel my membership with this company for the past 3 weeks. I have sent 4 emails with no response. And I have tried to call, which their voicemail is full, with what I assume is multiple cancellations. I asked them 3 weeks ago to cancel my subscription before the next billing cycle. No response. I emailed a week later again asking for cancellation before billing cycle, with no response. And now last week, guess what, a charge to my account and again emailed multiple times, with no response. I need a refund and cancellation!! You charged me $50 so cancel it now or I will report you to every outlet and seek legal advice if this continues!Business Response

This company does not make it easy to cancel your membership! Their website says to email them, but after waiting for over a week, and sending three emails, my account is still not cancelled. They have some serious customer service issues. If I get charged another $25 monthly fee, I will dispute it with my credit card company. This is not acceptable. Consumers have a right to be able to cancel their memberships quickly and easily. This company is in violation of that consumer right.Business Response
