I bought a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan from My Cloud Auto Sales on 12/21/22. I paid $3700 for the vehicle and $100 for a vehicle protection plan. I have been taken advantage of by ****** of My Cloud. He stated the vehicle is “Road Ready”. He stated that the vehicle had been driven to Hot Springs, AR by his employees with no issues. He stated that he is a mechanic and would try to fix anything that came up. He wanted us to be happy. I live an hour from the dealer ship and I did not make it home from purchasing the vehicle before having to stop and call ****** about an oil sensor light coming on. Since it was close to Christmas he told me to bring it in the following Tuesday. In the meantime I discovered a rattling of the undercarriage, a leak in our driveway and the front and back windshield so etched you can’t see to drive at night. I took it back for the oil sensor light and was told that would fix the leak. I was given a name and number for their windshield guy and they did not offer any help for the sway bars just said that was probably what I am hearing. I took the vehicle to T***** **** *n Poteau,Ok to determine the cause of the leak. He said it was transmission fluid leaking but wasn’t sure without putting it up ion a rack. Could be multiple leaks. He said the sway bars were annoying but not urgent. These are not covered in our plan and estimated cost to fix $700. Estimated cost to fix windshields $405 also not covered in our plan. I was advised by ****** **** to check and make sure the transmission fluid is not running too low until I can get it fixed. I keep transmission fluid in the van at all times but I don’t drive the vehicle because I am afraid to. It is not “road ready”. I called ****** with what I had found out about the vehicle. He stated that all of his vehicles on the lot “leak”. He stated that if he fixed everything that is wrong with the vehicle he would not make any money. I asked if he would take the vehicle back and he refused.

      To whom may concern:
****** purchased a 2003 dodge grand caravan from us on 12/21/22. She was shown this vehicle for the budget she had in purchasing a used vehicle. The vehicle was posted for $3999 in which her purchase price was $3700. That’s a $300 savings to help with her budget. She was allowed to test drive the vehicle for any length of time in which her and the two other family members went along with her on the test drive. They were gone a short amount of time and came back with a few questions about the vehicle. First they could not remove the keys from the ignition in which I gladly showed them to process on how to remove the keys, second was some of the paint peeling in which I explained to them for an almost 20 year old vehicle it’s the original paint and would not affect the way the vehicle performs, another issue was the blinker on the dash blinked very fast indicating a bulb was out on the vehicle, (we replaced this for her) another issue was the sliding drivers side door had water leaking from that area in which I explained we recently had rain in our area and it was nothing to be concerned about, I showed them the engine was toward the front of the vehicle and if there were any major leaks or concerns it would be in that general area. I gave them time to look over the vehicle more and to decide if it was a good purchase for them and their needs and budget. We are a small family owned business and never pressure or force anyone into something they don’t like or want. I gave ****** the history of the vehicle since it’s been in my possession. See attached the list of repairs and cost we put into the vehicle approximately $770 in repairs along with several small repairs such as wipers, bulbs, and oil pressure switch we replaced after the purchase price of the vehicle at no additional charge to Alexis. She also purchased an ASC warranty that would cover any major repairs that included tow, road side assistance, and several other covered items with her purchase. Those covered items can be found on ASC warranty website for informational purposes if need be. This specific vehicle was loaned out to a employee Melissa Adam’s to take her family on vacation to Hot Springs Arkansas which is several hours away from our facility. There is documentation for those dates that I was unable to upload on this page but will be happy to provide that if needed. I spoke with ****** shortly after her purchase where she seen water under her vehicle and a oil light that appeared on the dash, I walked her how to pull the oil dipstick and make sure there was oil inside the vehicle in which there was, she moved the vehicle forward and there was no puddle under her vehicle afterwards. I advised her it was more then likely a sensor that was bad on the oil pressure switch that if she could wait till after Christmas Eve and day when our shop oped back up we can address that issue for her In which we did. We fixed the oil light that came on the dash at no cost to her, we advised the windshield we could not cover since we do not offer that kind of service at our shop. We referred her to auto glass connection in fort smith in which I called and got a quote over the phone from the employee named Mr Lee, he advised me the front windshield would cost approximately $150 to replace with a new one. After speaking with ****** over the phone multiple times I advised her she purchased a warranty that would cover any seals or gaskets that may be causing leaks on her vehicle however it would have to be a ASC certified shop to perform the repairs. ****** did take it too a shop in which seemed they did not properly diagnose the leaks or seals that were bad on the vehicle. She has no deductible on the warranty as well so there’s no out of pocket cost to her for any diagnosis or repairs pertaining to the leak she noticed. Sway bars they mentioned are not a urgent repair but do have a tendency to rattle when hitting bumps, I calculated the cost for that specific repair to approximately be $153.98 according to ALLDATA manage that most shops use that’s parts and labor. I feel as if I was transparent and disclosed any and all information I knew about the vehicle before her purchase. I also came off the asking price $300 to ensure if there was small cosmetic things she wanted to get fix that would allow her that opportunity to do so. I did explain to ****** that when purchasing used vehicles there will be things that can go wrong and explained that I could look under all the vehicles on my lot and probably find a leak. I also explained to her we have a repair shop and have brand new vehicles that come in with leaks of their own it’s the nature of vehicles you will never find a “perfect” vehicle. I politely listened to her concerns and did everything I could to guide and steer her in the right direction. Even placed her with a mutual car dealer/pastor we both know to ensure our integrity and honesty is how our business is based and we would never place anyone in a vehicle we did not deem road safe for anyone purchasing a vehicle from us. I recall asking if ****** if her engine or transmission or any lights on the dash was on and she stated “no” but went on about the front windshield and the rattling noise and the possibility of a leak underneath in which I explained the leak was covered under her warranty and explained to her if there is not lights on the dash flashing or on then her vehicle is “road worthy”. If I trusted my employee to take it several hours away with her 3 kids and family I trusted it for her to get her and her family where they needed to go. The vehicle started, ran great and shifted out great with no mechanical issues causing any kind of failure to the running and driving ability of the vehicle. ****** did request a full refund on her purchase and I explained to her we do not offer refunds, she had any and every opportunity to test drive the vehicle, take it to her personal mechanic or anyone with mechanical knowledge at her own free will to ensure her purchase was deemed at her choice. In arkansas we by law to have buyers sign a buyers guide that states when purchasing a used motor vehicle there is things that can go wrong when purchasing a used motor vehicle and they are buying the vehicle as-is in which she did sign. However I did exceed those requirements and replaced the oil pressure sensor at no cost to ****** for parts or labor. Thank you for your time and effort’s on helping navigate though this situation we greatly appreciate BBB reaching out to us in helping both party’s to ensure satisfaction is agreed upon this situation-God Bless!
