      We sold our home and were downsizing so we have many things we wanted to sell. This included furniture as well as collectibles & many household items. This company was referred to us by another estate sale company. Melody came to our home on 3/12/22 & looked at all the items we wanted to sell & stated we didnt have enough for estate sale but she had a store front & a *************** was sure she could sell most of the things. She had people who would come & pick it up. She said they would inventory it and that we would get list of all items as they sold or after time items donated.They came and got our things on March 29, 2022 - as of today 6/ 19/22 we have not received anything from this company but a **** on 4/3/22 for $550.00 for packing, loading & unloading & drive time. Pretty much everything they took was ready for them - lady who came spent half her time on her phone. After speaking to Melody about the charges we paid $345.75 on 4/4/22. We have called and asked for our inventory list 3 times and now she says she doesnt do lists!? How do you know whats whos & when it sells- this is unacceptable and not what were told nor what contract says. We gave these people close to $10k worth of our things & feel we have been totally ripped off - need inventory list & if she hasnt sold anything in almost 3 months which is highly unlikely- we may need an estate sale or someone else! .

      The sales process from our warehouse/storefront can take some time.  We give every item that comes into our facility at least two sale cycles, for a total of 6 selling days, minimum.  We may choose to hold items longer at our discretion. 

      We provide an Itemized Statement of all sold items, the selling price and any donations that are made.   It can take several weeks for a Client's items to get onto the sales floor., after a pickup.   We process checks once monthly and those are mailed about the 3rd week of each month.  Client's are apprised of these processes at the time of the signing of the contract. 

      This client has received one Itemized Statement and three donations lists for their items.  Any items that are not on those lists, are still waiting to be sold.  The June lists are just being sent out now, and considering the initial delays in inventory getting onto our sales floor, this is only the 2nd month in which we've had Statements process for this Client. 

      We try very hard to sell as much of the inventory as possible -- we don't make money on anything that gets donated.  This Client's items fit into a 12' box truck at the time of the pickup, so clearly there was not very much stuff, and certainly not $10K worth.  If there had been $10K, we would have done the sale right there on site. 

      We price and sell all items at the highest possible price -- if our Client doesn't make any money, neither do we.  Any item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. 

      We regret that this Client isn't pleased with the results, but we have/are doing what we said we would do -- sell as much of their stuff as possible for the highest price possible.  If no one purchases the items, then they get donated -- we cannot control what customers want to purchase. 

      In summary, we will finalize this Client's inventory by mid-August and all Statements and Donations Lists will be mailed and our business will be complete.

      We do not accept this reply for several reasons. One Is what took so long for this answer.

      ? This claim was filed weeks ago. Also if they sent any type of list we never received it. These two document s shown are all we have from them.

      I would like to see proof this was sent & a copy or do they not keep records of that either.  Our original question of how do you run a company 

      of selling multiple peoples items without any inventory of some kind was not addressed, How do we know if they sold something & they say it was donated? This is a business that calls for some trust which doesnt seem to be a priority for them.   
      As for the amount of items & size of trailer - it was way longer than 12 plus items were put inside pickup truck & filled up the bed of the pickup plus 

      the trailer was stacked & completely full!  Items were a lot of household items,  furniture- , collectibles designer purses & much more!  We are senior citizens both with health issues  & time restrictions or we wouldve sold items them on our own. 

      Rather than pursue this matter farther with our attorney we will accept minimum $2500 for items Boyds took. The furniture alone was worth that. Not to mention all the Xmas collections etc.

      We have a contract with ************** that states we will sell his items -- there is no time restriction within which we are required to accomplish this.  It can take several months to get everything sold, depending on how desirable an item is and how well-priced it is. 

      We commit verbally to our Clients during the sales call, that we will give every item at least 2 selling cycles.  Sometimes, we will hold onto items for a longer period of time to try to get more items sold.  When an item doesn't sell, it gets donated. 

      While we are well within our contractual commitments, we are willing to accelerate ****************** selling process.  For every item, we will put it through 2 sale cycles and then make an immediate donation for all unsold items at that point.  We will not continue to hold items longer than our contractual obligation of 2 sale cycles. 

      This will result in a faster liquidation process for **************.  He has already received 2 checks and several Donations Lists.  I will commit to having all of his items processed and our business together concluded by the end of August. 

      This will resolve the issue that ************** has that things aren't being sold quickly enough.

      First off - we have not questioned the selling timeframe.  We understand things dont sell overnight. Our question & complaint is not receiving anything

      from this company -Boyds (Melody) from March 29th except **** for pickup of items, until we filled this claim. We have called her on 3 occasions but still never received anything. She states they have sent 2 checks with sold items & a donation list but in actuality we have just received a list & check for $100.50 the day after this claim was sent & received 7/20/22 & we just received a letter from Melody stating 7/21/22 -her administrator  claims to have sent 

      another check with sold items & a donation list, which has not been sent to us! Possibly they sent it to wrong person-  definitely not to us. So in answer to this response- we havent asked for a timeframe- want as much sold as possible- we just want our monthly lists/ payment as was promised.
