This dealership sold a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle to me and *****************************. I was co-owner of this motorcycle. To protect my interest in this purchase (Dec. 2015), I had **** (Finance Contact) put us down with the Word "AND" on the title. By doing so meant the bike could not be sold/purchased without my signature. Original Title Application is attached. It was brought to my attention by this dealership they bought the motorcycle back from *****************************, approximately 2 weeks ago without my approval or sign off on the title. The way they did this is their staff made a clerical error in the title work and accepted the title back with the word OR, not AND. Due to this error made by them in accepting incorrect paperwork from their 3rd Party Vendor I have had my property sold without my permission and I am not able to recover the $700 I am owed on this bike from when I paid it off in March 2022. I knew all along that bike could not be sold without my consent and it was going to be at that time I would get the money I am owed or get the property back. This dealership knew I was co-owner on this bike and I do not know if they intentionally allowed the error to be made in 2015, but it allowed them to buy my property that I am 1/2 owner on from the other party and because of that I am not able to collect the money I am owed. If Harley Davidson would have verified the paperwork they received back from the *** or their 3rd Party Vendor instead of just signing off on it and filing it away, I would not be out my vested interest of $700. I expect them to own up to their mistake and pay me. This was their error that put me where I am today. Also, I am not approving the sell of that Motorcycle to any other party until this is resolved.
