On May 26, 2023, I took my iPhone 11 to MacMedia because they were advertised on ****** as an Apple authorized retailer and I purchased a new battery for $100. Once home the phone warned me that I did not have an authorized Apple battery. When I called they stated they were no longer an Apple retailer and they would attempt to get me an authentic battery. I called later to see if they found one and they said they would refund my money if I bought one at the Apple Store. My phone would not hold a charge and Apple could not update the phone.Not hearing back, today I bought an authentic battery at the ************************ Mall. However, it is their policy to keep the old battery. When I called MacMedia they would not refund my money without the old battery. Being a former Apple retailer I believe they knew this when they told me they would refund my money if I purchased an authentic battery.I may not get my money back but this was total Fraud. As of today ****** still shows they are an Apple distributor. My receipt shows all " Everything Apple "
