On May 26, 2023, I took my iPhone 11 to MacMedia because they were advertised on ****** as an Apple authorized retailer and I purchased a new battery for $100. Once home the phone warned me that I did not have an authorized Apple battery. When I called they stated they were no longer an Apple retailer and they would attempt to get me an authentic battery. I called later to see if they found one and they said they would refund my money if I bought one at the Apple Store. My phone would not hold a charge and Apple could not update the phone.Not hearing back, today I bought an authentic battery at the ************************ Mall. However, it is their policy to keep the old battery. When I called MacMedia they would not refund my money without the old battery. Being a former Apple retailer I believe they knew this when they told me they would refund my money if I purchased an authentic battery.I may not get my money back but this was total Fraud. As of today ****** still shows they are an Apple distributor. My receipt shows all " Everything Apple "Initial Complaint

MacMedia has had my computer since September 8, 2022. It was brought it for repairs and in that time the following transpired:1. 1st time sent out for repair: someone elses logic board was put inside my computer and they lost my logic board. When found, I was told the board partner damaged a properly functioning component on the Macbook but was still returned to MacMedia. They needed to send it out again for further repair.2. I called 3 weeks later for an update & was told "the computer was never sent out & was sitting there for me to pick up when I asked why, they lied & told me that I told them not to send it out? The last interaction I had was them saying they were doing everything that they could to fix their mistake and would be in contact. Every interaction has been so insensitive & unhelpful, so much so that I had to have my boyfriend take over direct communication from emotional distress.3. 2nd time sent out for repair to fix the component they damaged. We were told this would take two weeks - we begged for updates & finally a month later when the computer arrived we were told they "forgot" to fix the part they broke and it needed to be sent out AGAIN. Did they even send it out? How do they forget to fix the one thing it was sent out for?4. 3rd time sent out for repair to fix the component they broke. After making multiple calls to the store, we were finally told that NOW the board partners cant find the memory system. Meaning, they werent careful, they didnt communicate to the board team that this was important and now my memory is just gone. Since then, MacMedia has had no relevant response and no real timeline to have it fixed properly. Its been shady and dishonest. They say the decision maker are the owners but wont give us their information. Its infringing upon my livelihood. I need answers as to when and how the computer will be fixed and compensation for the damages that have further occurred after giving my computer to MacMedia.
