  The company Compass Rose student housing advertises a gated community but the main gate and man gate do not close or lock. Because of the advertising of a gated apartment made me think I was safe but my truck was stolen and totalled. When compass rose first moved me into an apartment I had a private room that was separated from the rest of the apartment by a door with a lock that separated the bathroom and my room and one other person's room and was told the bathroom was just for the private bedroom renters. My bedroom had pizza sauce on the walls and garbage under the bed and marks all over the walls which means they aren't doing move in or move out inspections and made move into a dirty room. They kicked me out of that apartment because they didn't have enough renters so they moved me into a room that had a random guy that doesn't even live here sleeping on my bed, bathroom toilet and shower and sinks were so dirty and unsanitary. My roommates throw parties and the only bathroom I can use is now a public restroom and is dirty and unsanitary but the other bathroom I can't use is clean and only used by 2 people when there is 2 rooms and 2 people in each room. I was lied to about only me and one person using this bathroom and they are doing room inspections which I've had issues with before. I'm making a complaint about negligent security and lying on their advertisement for a gated apartments and no room inspections have lead to health and safety issues.

  Compass Rose tries to offer properties that are safe. In the world today no one can guarantee safely any where.  As to the gate issues at the apartment, when we know about something like this we contact the property management to request that they repair it.  At that point it is an issue that we can't repair.

  Regarding a private bathroom.  We do not offer any rooms that have a private bathroom.  This is boldly stated on our website.

  Regarding the condition of the apartment.  We realize that students do not keep their apartments as clean as they should, however, we do inspections and if need be send in cleaners.  If a student has an issues with roommates and they do not come to us we may not know about it.  

  We have an office in the school and encourage every student to visit our office to get to know us and especially to discuss any issues they may be having in their apartment.

  We do move student  due to issues in the apartments or if we are asked to return an apartment to the community.  We apologize for this, however it is part of student housing and the students are also make aware.

  Unfortunately the credit card processing company that we use charges the fee it is not Compass Rose that receives that money.  A resident can pay with a bank account and the fee is only 2.95.

   

  This option is explained to the resident.
