My dog was shot and was taken in to Blue ***** in ********, **. I was told they wouldn't treat my dog without payment. I gave them my credit card for $600+. I was told that I needed to pay or apply for Care Credit before my dog could be treated. I gave the receptionist the care credit information and they charged the account. The vet called and said my dog needed an amputation ,and of course, I would have to pay for the fees first. When i called back, the vet said she could splint my dogs leg. I asked how much I had to pay and was told therer would be a credit of $1551.28 back to the care credit and the splint and sedation would be $690. I get the care credit bill and it was for $3994.51. No where near wahat I was quoted.

On 02/18/2022 I took my nearly 10 year old dog (Mac) in to get treated for an approximate 2 inch wound. Mac wasn't in pain and he was acting completely normal before I took him in, I only took him in to prevent infection. I wasn't able to go into the exam room with him. Mac had severe separation anxiety and that was made known to the technicians. Mac was checked in at 12:15 pm and I agreed to pay a total of $2319.02 for them to start treatment and obtain bloodwork. I called for a status update at around 3:15 pm and I was told he wasn't started yet due to a critical patient coming in. At 4:30 pm I went inside the office and asked to just have Mac back because I was worried it's been to long to keep him out of my sight. They refused to give him back and said they just started on him. I didn't get to take him home until 7 pm and they told me he was fine. Upon returning home, Mac didn't seem himself, he had an approximate 7 inch cut but only 6 stitches where the wound was treated as well as several lacerations from shaving too close to his skin, he could barely walk, had trouble breathing and didn't have much of an appetite. I was told these were side effects of his pain medication and that they can cause him to be in a sedated state. I continued to monitor him for the next few days. He would eat very small portions at a time which was a good sign to me but his breathing and ability to walk normally did not improve even while off the medication. On 2/23/2022, Mac collapsed and passed away just 5 days after his "treatment". Mac was mistreated, traumatized and not handled in proper care. I contacted the corporate customer relations office via email and left a voicemail. I called the customer relations line several times during their "operating business hours" and was sent to voicemail every time. I want a full refund of his "treatment" costs as well as a full refund on cremation costs ($239.50) for a complete total of $2,558.52.
