Monday May 1st I called this company and the owner answered. He said he can come out that same day and complete an inspection. He also said theres no inspection fee if they complete the job as well. The owner agreed to allow me to be on a payment arrangement. I paid $400 immediately and the work was to be started the next day after getting the part. I was given the rundown and the price which was super high. So I asked if they were using the warranty. He seemed stumped and said he cannot come out and that he was cancelling the job unless I paid in full. Being that I was on this payment arrangement it was known I wouldnt be able to pay in full. I explained to him that my husband just had brain surgery and I I was on a medical leave that hadnt been approved yet. That we are on a very limited income and if they would be using the warranty. Im not positive of what transpired. However, the owner backed out of the deal and said I will need ******* skneine else for the job. He was inanle or unwilling to complete the job. Even though he already took my payment of $400. Being that he was probably not using the manufacturer warranty for the A/C unit motor. I felt a little relieved. However, he already accepted the first payment. When i requested to be refunded in full. He said he will jot do the full amount because there was an inspection fee and that I also needed proof of payment or an invoice or receipt. Then I reminded him of our agreement and asked why he decided to back out. He was full of sarcasm and became rude, refusing to refund anything at all. This went on for weeks. He finally agreed to refund payment and said he found the proof of payment or whatever he said he needed. However, he never got around to it. Even after agreeing to it. Even after my many attempts to call police *** many threats to give him and the company bad reviews. I even threatened to file a complaint with the BBB for his bad business practices. He didnt seem to care. I was full of rage and very upset then I then asked him wheres his integrity and i If he has any good moral. I even said he is worse than the other companies who i had shared with him earlier were being rude to me. Around this time, he decided to finally refund a portion of the payment. The amount wasnt even half. Bottom line is he left me hanging in the middle of summer as my house grew to temperatures of above ***************************************************************************************************************** my lifetime as well. Disgusting and shameful. I am requesting that he give me a full refund of $400. I would also like an apology in writing to myself and my sister for being so mean and nasty. This is to whom it may concern, This is a frivolous complaint. If you read the provided information from the complaint it is completely contradictory. Please provide invoices and an apology for wasting my company time on customers that obviously do not know what it costs to service and maintain a household appliance.The air conditioner is an item that cannot be neglected and requires maintenance and service.Please do not contact me again with this issue. The customer was granted a complementary partial refund due to her extenuating circumstances. I do not think she understands the non refunded portion of the said payment was for services renderend for "labor to date fees". The total time invested in this job (6Hrs).She wanted to warranty the work and backed out of a deal? I do not have paperwork for any payment arraignment. The text is circumstantial at best and manipulated to show only what is favorable to her story. I appreciate your time and I am sorry you have to deal with these types of customers. Thank you P.S. the owner made a payment arrangement and he backed out of the deal after i paid $400. He lied. And he refused to make it right. He owes $200. I hired him to do the work. He refused. Then tried to say i paid a deposit. Thats a BOLD FACE LIE. I am requesting a full refund. He clearly stressed he will refund me. He also clearly stated he found the invoice payment. This adalco air has no integrity or moral to do business this way. I want a refund in full plus an additional $200 for time, pain and suffering. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. FTC IS NEXT.
