On 8/10 went in to Christian Brothers due to a check engine light being on. Advised that the code was for a cam position sensor we knew because we had it checked a 2-different mechanic shops. We were advised other things were needed not the cam position sensor. The camshaft and actuator were needed, and that it would be a couple of days to get these installed. We were told that my truck would be ready no later than Wednesday 8/16. On 8/18 around 5pm we were called and advised truck ready and everything is good. On Sunday 8/20 while driving the check engine light came back on, took it to AutoZone and the code was for the cam position sensor. Only drove about 30 miles before check engine light came back on. On 8/21 took my truck back to Christian Brothers and told them what happened, they said they would look into it and let us know. On 8/22 I went in and they told me that they changed the cam position sensor and they drove it for over 100 miles and the check engine light did not come back on. As of today 9/15 a few hundred miles later the check engine light has not came back on. I feel that I was charged for items that were not needed. The cost of parts (camshaft and actuator) were basically nothing however the cost of labor $1593.24 is something I feel I shouldn't have to pay. I believed them since they are mechanics but long story short I didn't need the parts they installed. I have spoken with the manager of the location and he just acted like he didn't care. If they would of just replaced the cam position sensor as we had requested we would not be filing a complaint. I have the other invoice from 8/22 that shows the replacement for the cam position sensor however I am unable to upload at this time. Please let me know where I can send that to if needed. Please note: Client concerns as noted on invoice attached.Thank you,*****************************
