In October 2023, I went to the Corn Festival in Bullhead City, **. where Bullhead Dental had a booth. I met the dentist *********************** and was given a new patient flyer. The flyer indicated that for $79 I would receive x-rays, an examination and a cleaning. I called the number on the flyer and set an appointment for December 13, 2023. At the dental office, I received a panoramic x-ray, bite wing x-rays, and an examination. After the examination by the dental hygienist, *******, it was "recommended" by ******* that I receive a deep cleaning. When I asked the cost, I was told "$300, but it could be more after starting the procedure." ******* stated that I could use my voucher on a subsequent visit. I told ******* (the dental hygienist) that I didn't want a deep cleaning that I just wanted a regular cleaning that was on the voucher. She told me that she would not do a regular cleaning on me. I asked her how much this visit was going to cost me since I was not going to receive a cleaning and I was told $40.00. ******* then asked if I still wanted to see the dentist, because she didn't want me wasting the dentists time. I asked ******* "Is it a part of the $40 fee that I'm now paying?" She said yes. I then said, if it's something I'm already paying for then yes, I would like to see the dentist. The dentist (******) came in and did a brief examination of my teeth. I said to clarify I will not be getting a basic cleaning, and she said no. The reason for my complaint is I feel this is a bait and switch. They give you the flyer to get you in the door, and then after they start the x-rays and do the examination you are then talked into paying a higher fee for ****************** then what you came in for. If you refuse the higher cost service, you still are required to pay $40 for the examination and x-rays. If it is a "recommended" service then why was the basic cleaning refused? I paid $40.00 and left feeling like I was scammed. I would like a refund of my money ($40.00).
