I rented 2 jet skis from this company and I was given 1 that was not working properly. 1 of the jet skis was able to speed up to only 20 mph and was very sluggish. I didn't know what to do until I felt that this is ruining my vacation plan with my family. We were far from the landing and took us a long time to come back, fueled up and swapped out to another one. I complained to the business and gotten no response. I don't think I should pay for the 1 rental when I was given a defective machine.Initial Complaint

On July 20, 2022, I rented a cabana online at Katherinelanding.com. The rental was for August 8, 2022. I paid ****** to rent the cabana for 1 day. Their website showed a beautiful beach with their cabanas and an area to rent motor boats. We decided to bring our own boat. Their website stated the rules of use for the cabana such as number of people, pets etc. . It did not state on their website that boats are not allowed anywhere near **************** area. In fact, when I received the email confirmation it offered boat rental as an upgrade. It is a common practice to anchor your boat or beach your boat near the area you are spending the day. This is what people do all along the lake. We arrived at Katherine's landing on August 8, 2022 with our boat, all of our gear, and 6 teenage boys for my son's birthday party. When we arrived we were informed no boats were allowed near the beach area and they would have to stay out of eyesight from the beach. I asked for a refund since we would not be able to use the cabana for our intended purposes. I was told no refunds and that I should email the manager. We left their establishment and drove 1.5 hours back home. We had no way to enjoy the beach since we did not bring chairs or shade and the temperature was 105 that day. I sent an email to the manager requesting a refund, with no response. I sent a message through their website with no response. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company. They were unable to help me because the cancellation policy is clear and it is considered a civil matter. If I don't get a resolution here, I will be filing a small claims case. I would like a refund of my ****** from this business because their website is not clear that boats are not allowed near the beach.
