The Pima Pistol Club website states, "Members get access to member-only ranges!" I specifically asked if membership would allow me to practice on the Dual Texas Star (a pistol training aid) and I was assured that it would. An employee drove me to range #4 in his golf cart and helped me lift it onto a cart, move it downrange and lift it off. When I was finished practicing, he came in his golf cart and helped me return it to its Conex. Both operations took about two minutes but are necessarily a two-man operation because the device weighs about 150# and is designed to rotate so each man must lift each end and let the base sling underneath. It is clearly not possible for one person to lift the device from the center, not just because of the weight, but because the base is too large to get one's feet around. But, assured that I could use their Dual Texas Star and that they would help me move it in and out of the Conex, I agreed to pay the $240 for a year's membership. There is absolutely no reason to pay for membership without access to the Dual Texas Star because the rest of their facility is just 50- and 100-yard ranges for shooting at cardboard targets, which is available for free in dozens of locations all over Arizona. There is a free 300-yard range in my hometown of Casa Grande. But when I visited the Pima Pistol Club on 1 April 2022, I found that their assurances were all lies. Two separate employees very rudely informed me that they were not there to help the customers and were much too busy to take two minutes to help me. One of them would have had to walk about 100 yards, which might of taken an extra two minutes, but the other was in their golf cart - for him, it was two minutes at the most. I demand my $240 be returned to me. They lied about my having access to the Dual Texas Star just to get my money and then laughed at me when I asked for two minutes of their time to help lift it.
