I was going to get a new A/C unit from newA/Cunits.com. I have watched them for years saw good reviews as the business progressed I noticed the Name brand selection was becoming less and less of a selection. So I haven't reviewed them in several years. Well my A/C is going out so I decided to give them a second look. No really dependable brands from reviews but I did see a Tru brand which is a low end from Trane. I have experience with over pricing A/C's from a past class. The Brand was over $7000. so I passed , then this month I received a code to get $750 off. after taxes bringing my purchase around $6400 which seemed to be a pretty good deal. So I purchased the Unit and installation service . When the Bill came out it had their cost the charged me $4655.68 and I was to pay the contractor $2000. (I am like where did this come from?) and it said the contractor could charge me more if needed. Devil is in the details. The contractor came out and said we don't charge more then $500 for any upgrades. (WHAT!) I have a new roof and my system has been serviced, I also have an ecobee thermostat so they would not have to put a new thermostat in! $140 value. Sure enough they wanted an extra $500 send a comment to NewACunits that this was unacceptable, you advertised 1 price and charge another. The *** left a very nice message saying they cancel my order and didn't want my business. That's okay I was not going to pay a hostage fee , Oh yeah the warranty was only 1 year."For an A/C unit?" "Really" that is really bad!

Below is the email we received from you: I don't like what I heard from the installers today! Their charging $2000 to install the unit , then reading your terms they can charge for extras, how many times did they just charge $2000...I bet zero...He told us the extras would be no more than $500..."WHAT"! my $750 discount is going to them. Like having a $140 brake job coupon an they tell you if they have to rotate the routers it will be $400...they are 100% try to pull that on me! My cousin runs and A/C business in Tennessee...a unit costs no more then $3000...it don't cost $2000 for 3 hrs of labor! If they come back with an extra $500...forget the entire deal...either find me someone who charges me $2000 or you eat it...I asure the BBB would be interested in this practice...I am heading off a big complaint from tomorrow when they try and pull that ****....Our reply to the above: You entered into an online, e-commerce transaction for an HVAC System. We charged you for the installation accordingly for $2000. You agreed to the ****************** within the online purchase. it was also specified that "recommended" and "mandatory" items may be communicated/needed in order for the installation of your system. Your installing contractor let you know that a new disconnect and whip was MANDATORY in order for you system to be installed for the amount of $500.00 because your existing disconnect was not long enough to reach the location of where your system would be placed. You received the $750 off of our already low pricing offered. You were belligerent with Our office representatives and made threats for your purchase. We do not tolerate nor need customers who speak to our staff as you did. Therefore, we chose to cancel your order in full and 100% of your monies were returned to you.
