Sav-On represents themselves as a mold/restoration service provider. We had black substance in our a/c blower unit and had **** come out to examine and determine if it was mold, including taking a sample to a lab. He insisted we must have a water leak somewhere, that the substance was mold and we should live outside until remedied, and supposedly took a sample for lab testing. He sent a report hours later, clearly fake (no lab can turnaround a sample that fast and it looked like it had been copied several times) showing it was mold. He said we need to evacuate our house for 2 days while he removed it, for $4000. He continued to call and push us about it. Thankfully we did not heed his advice. We had a second opinion and turns out the black substance was not mold. **** was clearly scamming us. **** if you read this, integrity will get you a lot farther than scamming.Review from Erika M

Ivn the owner is harassing and leaving me messages. I left an honest review of his company. He got upset and said he will contact the insurance if my review was still there in the morning. He is unprofessional. He is harassing. Dont do business with him. He did not follow up with me. He came to my home on September 29th and the issue is still not resolved. I fired ******** is not taking it lightly. We are awaiting payment from the insurance to pay for his work. Which I never refused to pay. But apparently hes filing a pre lien because he knows that he is in the wrong. This business should not be operating.Review from Laura H

Absolutely terrible experience. We were quoted two weeks for completion of a shower remodel due to a leak and it ended up taking four weeks. The timeline wasn't the big problem, it was the quality of the work. A list of issues:1. Before demo started, we had asked **** if we should move out of our closet as well it is attached to the bathroom where the demo/work would be occurring. He told ** they would put plastic sheeting over our belongings to protect from dust etc. I should not have been so naive, the sheeting came down as they continued to demo/work and we spent two full days cleaning the closet, the clothes, with some items being beyond repair. 2. The shower floor was installed and it was not level or set properly. We understand there are code requirements that involve sloping but the work was not to code and WE had to be the ones to call this out. The shower floor tile and some of the wall tile had to be ripped up and started over. The final product still does not drain properly and does not feel level. 3. The wall tile is crooked and uneven. It looks like a DIY project gone very wrong. 4. There were cracks/holes in the grout throughout the shower that we pointed out several times and were not fixed. In one case, the fix included putting some sort of epoxy/glue around the edge so now we also have mis-colored tile. 5. The drywall repair does not match the texture of the existing drywall so there is a noticeable difference in the bathroom.6. Oh! And our bathroom vanity was damaged in the process. I cannot emphasize enough how unhappy we are and how POOR the work quality was. We ended up negotiating a slightly lower price just to get Sav-On out of our lives. Shame on us but I could not handle them in our house any longer making things worse. STAY AWAY.Review from Melinda Q

My son, his fianc and my new grandson have recently relocated to *******. The apartment complex they chose moved them into an apartment way below standards of the one they were shown which included problems of water leaks and possible visual mold. After getting the run around from management we chose to take our own route. After reaching out for estimates, **** of Sav-On Home Improvement reached back out to me. Timely, kind, knowledgeable and communicated well through the whole process of verifying that my children were at high risk in this apartment. I am not familiar with this type of problem or the cost, but I found it reasonable. If this were my home I would continue on with this company for the whole process. I can't thank them enough!!!!! Thank you ****, truly, for helping me keep my family safe.Review from Brooke C.

September 2020, I hired Sav-On to remodel two of my bathrooms due to a leak from the upstairs bathroom into the downstairs bathroom. They quoted me a time frame of 2-3 weeks to get this done, but it ended up taking them 2 months. There were days they were supposed to come by, but didn't call me to let me know they were behind or to reschedule.. they just didn't show up. I'd have to follow up with them to see when they were coming back. That should've been the first red flag. Initially, I was pleased with how the bathrooms turned out, despite it taking longer than I was told and their terrible communication skills. So I wanted to give them another shot and sent them a detailed list with pictures of other projects I wanted to do. I followed up countless times within 6 months before I just gave up and found a new contractor. The new contractor came by July 2021. While looking around and discussing all the other projects I wanted to do, he pointed out water damage in the exact same spot that was leaking before (where Sav-On fixed the leak). So obviously, I called Sav-On to come assess and see what was going on. They came out at the beginning of August 2021, cut a hole in my drywall, and said they believed the leak was coming from the roof. ***** insisted the next two times he came out that I leave the ceiling open until it rains again so he can see where it comes from. **** came in Jesses place on August 16th and said we should wait until that Friday to patch it. I called my HOA to have someone come look at the roof, so I requested **** wait to patch it until after someone looks at my roof in case they needed to look inside where the drywall was cut. He just flat out didnt respond or show up.September 2021, my HOA had a tiny hole patched on my roof. So I called **** and tried to schedule them to come out and patch the hole in my drywall they cut. After 4 days passed with no response, I followed up again. **** started accusing me of not paying his guys and I expect everything done for free. I tried to call him to discuss over the phone since I had no idea what he was talking about. He blocked all my calls, then started sending me pictures of him on the lake saying he wasnt available. Completely inappropriate! He kept repeating that because the leak was from the roof, I need to pay his guys to patch up the hole they cut in my drywall. First of all, there was no prior discussion about payment. They had been out to my house a handful of times within the last month or so and still never once brought it up. There are two better ways requesting a payment shouldve been handled. Before they ever came out, they couldve said there will be a charge of X amount if the new leak has nothing to do with their work OR, he couldve even said, since the leak was from the roof, it will be X amount for us to come back out and patch it. Either way, he just immediately made it sound like I ripped him off.. but really, there was never a discussion about payment. As irritating as it wouldve been to tell me a month later I need to pay for it, I mightve been more willing to had he not been so disrespectful about it.I told him I would report him if he refused to patch up the hole HIS SON (*****) put in my ceiling. He responded by telling me hes not doing anymore work for me and I need to get off whatever drugs Im on. I called ****** on September 8th so she could look into why **** was being so disrespectful. She said she would give him a call and get back to me. It is now the end of September and I have not heard anything from any of them. Just another harassing message from **** that I owe him money when I dont. I decided to bite the bullet, and pay my new contractor to fix it since Sav-On is so unreliable and disrespectful.
