I filed a claim with my insurance company in March 2021 for damages to my home from a storm. After months of fighting with my insurance company, I hired a private adjuster to help settle my claim. The insurance company sent me separate checks that I had signed and sent to Cascade. I contacted Cascade to find out what I needed to do to have them endorse the check. I was told that I would need a contract for the repairs signed by me and my contractor. I faxed Cascade a copy of the contract expecting them to endorse the check and send me half of the money. After waiting for over a week I contacted Cascade and I was told that the check would be mailed out that Friday. I waited another week and still no check. This time I contacted Cascade again about the the check and I was told that they needed an updated adjustment from the insurance company on the cost of the repairs. The insurance company faxed them the updated estimate while I waited on the phone with the Cascade supervisor. She assured me that she would forward the updated information to the claims department for final approval. Again I waited until the following week and still no check in the mail. I contacted Cascade again today on November 8, 2021, which is now months after my initial claim with the insurance company. Today I was told that they are still trying to get approval from the loss department at Cascade to send out the check. It appears that I will have contact an attorney to get this resolved with Cascade who is holding MY money in an account and is obviously drawing interest on it! As a disabled veteran I will also be contacting the ********** of ******** Affairs who endorsed my loan through Cascade.Business response
