In September of 2022 **************** the owner of Sun City Roofing agreed to do my roof for $9700.00 -- in the middle of the job I was alarmed when I noticed that all around the house under the eves the nails were sticking through -- it looked AWFUL! After I paid **************** I mentioned the mess I had under the eves now was the one thing I didn't like and his reply was that, if in a couple years I'd like under my eves painted they do painting too. I submitted about 7 photos on Yelp, but it looks far worse now. Infuriating that **************** gave me no warning, just went ahead with the job knowing the unsightly damage he would leave under my eves. At the time I had received an offer for $9300. from another roofer also, but having already talked to **************** I felt the honest thing to do was to stay with him even though his offer was $400. higher. Recently I came across an email exchange with that other roofer and darted him an email mentioning my keen disappointment with Sun City Roofing. He had this reply, "Good evening, so the nails shouldn't be visible, sounds to me like they used the wrong size nails. For the eves they sell smaller nails 5/8 or 3/4 they sometimes break the plywood but is barely visible. With this other nails maybe 10 out of 500 nails pop out. I'm really sorry to hear that you have that issue, i worked on the field for 12 years before opening my company so i know exactly how everything should look like on the roofs." I honestly don't how people like **************** sleep in peace at night.
