I purchased my daughter a gift certificate for a bosom buddy ******* on June 7, 2021 for her birthday. ORDER NO. *****. The owner was responsive via email when I asked about ordering a certificate but since having issues with the order I am getting zero response. At the time I ordered the gift my daughter (*********************** - *********************** was in the process of planning her wedding and didn't pay much attention to the email confirmation of the gift certificate confirmation she received. When she went to order the gift she saw the link for renewing the gift certificate was good for only 30 days and she was outside that timeframe. She emailed the company twice on 7/14 and 8/11 asking for an updated renewal code so she can complete the purchase. I mean it never entered our minds a gift certificate would come with a 30-day expiration date. Maybe a year but 30 days? Who does that?I have since sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails for the business owner with no response. This business has a great reputation on Etsy so I am not sure why my requests are being ignored. If I had ordered from Etsy rather than directly from their website (https://www.fpholsters.com/) I would have probably had more recourse. In this day and age what business only honors a gift certificate for thirty days?! And even though the confirmation sent to my daughter stated 30 days there is nothing on the business website (or at least at the time that I ordered) stating a gift certificate was only good for 30 days. Otherwise, I probably would have never ordered.My daughter is a PI. This is a perfect gift for her and now I have lost money due to this unethical business practice. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
