In December 2022, I applied to attend the spring semester at NAU to achieve a college teaching certificate. I completed all of the requirements to attend in addition to applying for financial aid. I started attending classes prior to my financial aid being approved and noticed that I was receiving an email saying that I owed the school funds. I immediately called to ask about the charges. A student employee told me that I would not be responsible and that the charged would be waived when my financial aid was approved. Since then, my financial aid has been approved and the charges still remain. I have tried multiple times since February 2023 to try and resolve this dispute with the *************** at Northern Arizona University; however, I keep getting the runaround and inconsistent responses from student employees and a consistent "that's your problem" response via email. I have been told that the student I spoke with gave me incorrect information. I have been constantly asked to prrovide my concerns in writing. I have called and had to hold ridiculous amounts of time only to be told that someone would research and call me back. I have never received a call back. My true complaint is that had I not been provided inaccurate information by the financial office's CSR, I would have paid the charge prior to any additional fees accumulating. I am not responsible that this employee was not properly trained on departmental guidelines and gave bad information.Business response

Matter of disputed late fees has been resolved and student has been contacted via NAU and personal email addresses.
