On May 15, 2024, I went to Ponderosa Pawn & Trading *** to pick up 2 SETS OF ******************** SILVER BRACELETS I had a loan on, making a final payment of $283.85. An associate took ************************************ manager, took the ticket to retrieve my items. I waited for ***** minutes at the front counter. The associate at the front refused to get him when I asked what was happening. Finally ************** told me "I can't find them, somebody must have misplaced them." I was shocked, but said I'd return. After a couple hours, I called him. He hadn't found them yet so I went to the police station & filed a report. I left my number for an officer to call me back. Later that day, I returned to Ponderosa **** & again ************** hadn't found my bracelets. I demanded their return & notified him I filed a police report. ************** said "the police aren't going to do anything." He refused to give me back my original ticket when I asked for it, but he reluctantly made me a copy. I left my number with him & asked him to keep me up to date & left. I spoke with a police officer later that day, she said she would speak with him. On May 16, 2024 I called ************** asking for an update, he still hadn't located my items, again I asked him to keep me informed. I called him again on May 17. At that time he said he needed more time because he was only part of the way through "the shelf" looking for my bracelets. On May 28, I again called **************, he said my bracelets were "gone". He offered to refund my final payment of $283.85, replace 1 set of bracelets with a cheaper version he had & give me "some" money back for the other set. My bracelets were irreplaceable family heirlooms. I am appalled at the handling of the matter. I got no communication or updates as asked. I complied with the terms of the loan agreement, Ponderosa **** did not. I borrowed $400, paid ALL fees back & lost well over $2,000 worth of jewelry. A full accounting of my loan & $2683.85 is what I am owed at a minimum.Business response

We had someone steal items from our store this was 1 particular set of items. I explained this to her, also offered her money back as well as jewelry made by same artist. She has refused what I offered. Stated on the agreement of **** I agree to hold harmless, Ponderosa **** & Trading *** for damages or loss to items due to fire, water, THEFT, acts of god, insurrection or riots. Which she has initialed reading the agreement. We have filed a police report same as her. I have tried to make things right to no avail.
