On August 18, 2023, I entered into a contract with Alternative Energy, facilitated by *************************, for a solar structure. I paid 50% down ($19275) on 8/19/23. In oral communication with my husband and me, ****************** stated that the purchase would be "turn-key" service for the solar structure, including permitting costs, labor, engineered plans, all electrical components, metal structural materials, and 15 bifacial solar panels. We were told that the engineered plans would be completed in a matter of weeks and that the longest stage of the process would be permitting. However, the last set of engineered plans we saw were sent November 2, 2023; over a month later (Dec. 13, 2023), there was no engineering stamp on the plans (see attached emails). In a phone conversation on May 2, 2024, I was told the engineering plans were not completed. A text conversation on June 10, *********************************** queue for permitting. However, I was not able to find evidence of this. I asked the company for copies of the plans and evidence of the permit application in writing (see attached). The company did not respond. Since that time, Alternative Energy has not responded to ANY inquiries including my request for a refund. I have now been made aware that ****************** does not have a ROC license for this work; when I asked about licenses prior to contract signing, I was assured that "of course" licenses were in order. Moreover, ****************** has had my APS password since Aug. 22, 2023, per his request, to help expedite the project. The project STILL hasn't made it to that stage. In all cases, I have acted in good faith. The same cannot be said of Alternative Energy. Given the failure to complete work in a timely manner and the failure to respond to reasonable questions, I ask for your help to secure a full refund. I can furnish copies of all emails, texts, and call logs. (In the last two months alone, 4 emails, 5 texts, and 6 calls have not been answered).
