    On 10/22/2021 I put a down payment down on a sound system for my 2010 Dodge Ram for $500 at Unique Car Audio. The owner, ****, promised me that as long as I own the vehicle theres a lifetime warranty for the installation and for the sound system. He promised that I wouldnt have to pay anything out of pocket for any reason wether its a blown sub, overheating, wiring issues, or anything at all he told me just to bring it in and they would take care of it at no extra cost. On 11/05/21 I paid the remaining $2,304.71 balance and that day they started the installation on my truck. Fast forward to the end of September 2022 both of the sub woofers blew completely as there was all of the sudden no sound coming out of them. Once I realized that there was a problem I turned the sub woofers off and call Unique Car Audio to let them know I needed to drop my truck off to get the sub woofers repairs under warranty. I brought the truck in and **** was there and wanted to test the subs out first to see what the problem was. He Had me turn the sub woofers on and play music and as I did that he saw smoke coming out of the sub woofers and immediately told me to turn it off. I did and we went inside and they removed the subs and sent them off for the manufacturer who is JL audio for them to fix. This is where things start to get weird because I thought Unique Car Audio would repair or fix them as thats what I was told and promised when I purchased the system and that was the biggest selling point, that I could just bring it in to them and they can take care of it no problem. At this point **** also tells me that theres no lifetime warranty as long as I own the vehicle and that theres only a limited 1 year warranty provided by JL audio which is a lie because thats the opposite of what he promised me when I put my deposit down. Fast forward again to 10/04/22 I get a call from Georgia who is the receptionist for Unique Car Audio and she tells me that JL repaired one of the subs but are refusing to repair the other as theyre classifying it as abuse which makes no sense because the subwoofers are timed to play at the exact time and the same notes so its impossible for one to be classified as abuse but not the other. After I received this news I spoke with **** to see if theres anything he can do or if he can help me out and replace the sub for me but he refused stating that theres nothing he can do and its not his responsibility to repair/replace any piece of the sound system as he didnt manufacture the product. He couldnt bother to even offer me a discount or showed any remorse towards the situation. The only thing he could do was refer me to his JL Audio representative whos name is *************** and when I got into contact with him he blew me off accusing me of abusing the subwoofer and said he cant do anything about it. After this phone call I relayed back with **** and he said I can either buy a new subwoofer or leave it as is and told me that my sub woofers would take 3 weeks to ship out to their store and I would have to wait for them to contact me. Its been about 3 months now as today is 12/27/22 and I havent heard a word from Unique Car Audio. I have been lied to and played by **** since the beginning as everything he promised was false and every time I tried figuring out what the actual problem was and asking him questions, which in my guess was wiring because he said that his representative, ***************, said that the subs were melted, he would come up with an excuse trying to cover his behind.
