SEARS performed air duct cleaning in my home on August 31, 2022. Original ad price quoted was $99 (for 10 ducts). The service expanded to clean six (6) additional ducts/returns (charged $220 - ad price $180 for 20 vents), the air-handling unit ($150), & dryer vent (charged $190- ad price $89). Tech informed me he found two dead rodents in the handling unit, which he'd remove and apply a defog/enzyme treatment ($150). The technician also stated he would replace the air filter in the system. There was also an additional $20 surcharge applied. For total of $774. The service provided was awful and lack of CUSTOMER Service response to my complaints has been exhausting & completely unacceptable. Online description of the service depicted truck mounted equipment, photos showed covers placed over the ducts/returns to prevent blow-back into the lower levels of my home. None of this happened. My complaints are as follows: Techs used a mobile compressor with a hose/attachment & a ShopVac. The air ducts/returns were not covered, causing dust/debris to be blown all over the ********************************** ledges. The tech did not replace several of the register covers, including leaving the metal register cover dangling loosely from the ceiling above the back door. This metal cover could have fallen & caused personal injury. Filter was NOT replaced. I have serious health concerns that the dead rodents were NOT removed, as I had to have an exterminator come treat my home for fly infestation a few days after this treatment. All attempts to contact SearsCleaning Services (i.e., phone calls, emails, voicemails, etc.) to resolve this matter have gone unanswered. It has been 3 wks & NO ONE from Sears has contacted me. All phone numbers loop me back to the original call center, where I am told all that can be done is send a message to the Depot responsible. Which has yet to warrant any response. I don't want anyone else to receive this type of treatment.
