Road Runner (RR) was hired by the Key Allegro Condominium HOA in ******** ***** to rebuild our Condo's after Hurricane ******. RR missed deadline after deadline on both of my units and made awful mistakes in my unit and others which required re-work. In my unit they sheet rocked before completing the framing, installed flat ceilings when specs said vaulted, they did not use sheet rock screws causing sheetrock to detach, they punched an incorrect hole in drier drain plug which would have flooded several units had I not caught it, made electrical errors which caused me to get electrocuted when I touched a plug, and resulted in multiple plugs failing when one was unplugged, They did not attach deck door frames properly resulting in doors that could not close and cracked windows. In other units they did not test plumbing before sheet rocking which resulted in walls flooding and delays to everyone. 4 years after Hurricane ****** my unit was still not sheet rocked, and I was 100K in the hole (HOA, ************** and special assessment fees). Road Runner then told me that it would be in my best interest to take a cash out. They said that they would not finish any time in the foreseeable future.I accepted a $75,000 cash out and hired my own contractor. Roadrunner seemed to have cash flow problems and asked if I would accept my cash out in n 3 $25,000 dollar installments. I graciously accepted their proposal. We both signed a contract. The last installment was due on 1/31/22. They did not pay me. I called my contact who promised it would be overnighted to me on 2/14 or 2/15 2022. It was not. I called the new CFO who gave me the run around stating that there were cash flow issues, and it was everyone's problem. I told him that was all irrelevant. I have a signed contract, and he was violating the contract. He has refused to honor the contract. I am now paying a new contractor out of pocket to finish this project. I would like my $25,000 now.
