SANTAN HYUNDAI charged a portion of oil change when supposed to have free oil change maintenance for 3 years. Per Hyundai Corpiration does not cover per company, even though dealership said need this timely oil changes. Earnhardt denoting when services should be done but not to manufacturer recommended timeline. SAN TAN Hyundai stating need oil changes when in fact not required. I want refund for oil changes they stated were needed when in fact not recommended by dealer. ****************** denotes first oil change due @ **** miles, they will not reimburse for oil change at ***** miles. ****** and SAN TAN Hyundai are not adhering to company stated 3 year maintenance agreement. I want reimbursement for the fees I paid for oil changes. I had to go to AAA for 1 oil change. E cause I could not get appointment for 4-5 months at SAN TAN HYUNDAI. I did switch to ***** Hyundai for 1 oil change later where I could get appointment at no charge.Initial Complaint

******* had a recall for certain engines which included mine which was fixed by Hyuandi in Gilbert over a year ago. Since, my engine has continued to give me problems which I contacted hyuandi about and I never received a response. My car then would not accelerate past 60 mph at which I took it back to the dealership. Certain codes came up and were just cleared. Knock sensor was a code on the sheet that at the time of service was a service campaign on Hyuandis website which was supposed to be replaced and was not. I was sent on my way where a day later my car would not start. The service director ************************* told me over the phone he would fix the knock sensor no problem and when I brought my car there, he then got an attitude with me and said he only old me that on the phone to appease me and he wasnt going to fix it. After going back and forth he agreed to fix it and the next day told me I had engine failure due to over poured coolant, cracked water pump, over poured oil and so on and so forth. I was sent the mechanic report which shows the exact opposite, no leaks, no cracks, no over heating engine. When I asked how that is possible I was dismissed and treated like garbage with no resolution. They submitted a claim to hyuandi to fix my engine in good faith however, my engine is still under warranty according to the BBB motor claims handler. They then told me if I dont remove my vehicle they will get it towed and marked as abandoned even though I contacted them for a resolution daily. Hyuandi is known for having tons of issues. I was mistreated lied to and dismissed because Im a female and I was disrespected. I want my vehicle fixed as it should have been. To know there is a recal on a part and send me on my way without fixing it then having my engine now ruined is a huge safety issue for your customers. According to ******* any recall needs to be discussed and it was simply dismissed and blown off causing me to be without a vehicle.Initial Complaint

I had a recall on my motor repaired here the repair never worked properly and when the car died I had to trade it in because they did not have rental cars and were unwilling to help me. I bought a car that they knew had a broken moonroof that would not close if I opened it. It has been one week since I purchased and I cannot get them to repair it or cover the expenses at another dealer.Business response

There is a recall for Hyundai Sonatas with oil passages were plugged by metal shavings not removed prior to assembly. There is also a known problem of the vehicle going into limited speed or limp mode. There are judgements on both of these recalls. I brought my vehicle into Santan Genesis for warranty work and they are denying the claim supposed sludge in the engine. I and disputing their finding and want resolution for the problem.Business response

San Tan Hyundai (STH) acknowledges Mr. ***** concern. On or about November 18, 2022,************ had his vehicle towed to STH due to the check engine light flashing and a knocking noise. STHs service department worked on diagnosing the issue under the supervision of the service manager and were able to diagnose the issue at hand. However, Hyundai ************* (Hyundai)issued the vehicles warranty and is the sole determiner of coverage, and required its own inspection before it would agree to cover the issue under the warranty. In connection with Hyundais inspection to determine warranty coverage, it requested photos and maintenance records for the vehicle to show the service history. STH did not have any maintenance records for the vehicle.
Upon the conclusion of Hyundais review of Mr. ***** claim,it declined to cover the engine replacement under warranty due to its determination that the vehicle had not been properly maintained.
STH denies any wrongdoing in this matter, nor could *********** allege, that the dealership has violated any laws or regulations. If ************ would like to continue working with STHs service department, please contact them at ************.

Hyundai is trying to avoid covering an obvious recall. The recall is known as this failure I am describing. There is a class action judgement against Hyundai and that is why this recall was offered.Business response

San Tan Hyundai (STH) reiterates that the dealership denies any wrong doing or that the dealership has violated any laws or regulations. STH restates that Hyundai ************* (Hyundai) issued the vehicles warranty and is sole determiner of coverage. Hyundai determined after Hyundais inspection that the vehicle had not been properly maintained and Hyundai denied coverage.
Accordingly, ************ has further issues with Hyundais denial of warranty coverage he will need to contact the vehicles manufacturer.

The manufacturer is responsible to honor the recall. This is a proven fault caused by metal shaving left in the engine during the manufacturing process. Hyundai is clearly trying to avoid fixing the problems caused by this problem.

We are a body shop that orders many parts. We ordered two brackets for a vehicle here and returned them. The parts manager, *************************** is a complete moron. Refuses to give us our credit mouthing off every time I get ahold of him.Initial Complaint

For starters I brought In my 2021 Hyundai Elantra (with 10k miles on it) having lights on for every and anything you could think of. The service department is always too busy to answer any calls and the wait time to be acknowledged in the waiting room is long as well. I know I brought it in before the holiday which can make things run a little slower, but when I called in today to get information on the status on my vehicle I was told that it has yet to be touched and when I spoke to the receptionist she had no clue my car was even at the dealership.its Wednesday and they havent even opened the hood of my car or even acknowledged that my car is in your establishment? I just dont get it. It takes months to schedule a major car service maintenance (even oil changes), hours to get ahold of someone and then days before your car is even touched. They also will not provide a loaner vehicle and I live 115 miles away from the dealer.
