I signed for the solar panels to be installed in December of 2022, they were installed in early February of 2023, but were not turned on until October of 2023. I started making payments on my loan, and in January of 2024 Avvio started reaching out telling me that I had to switch loan companies. The finance company they had me go through did not hold up their end of the agreement, and instead of selling my loan, Avvio is now forcing me to switch loan providers going from a 2% to 8% loan. This company repeatedly told me that I was going to have service for months, from May until October. They are now talking about taking legal action against me even though *** still been making payments to the original loan that I signed for.I was also told that I would receive a tax credit to pay for the panels and its a nonrefundable credit that sticks with my taxes. I cant even use it to pay off the loan they are now trying to force me to switch to.

      *******************,

We apologize for the length of time it took to get your panels to PTO. We hope that the check for $426 we sent to you on 11/15/23 to reimburse you for 3 of your loan payments helped ease the pain on the length of time it took your panels to be operational. It is true that the loan company (Almika) you used did not fund your solar panel project. They have offered to reimburse all payments you have made to them if you choose to get financing anywhere else. There are many ways to finance your panels including a Home equity line of credit or going thru the various different lenders that are available in the market place. Unfortunately, that doesn't absolve you from paying for the project. The installation agreement you signed was to pay for the panels in full at the time on install. You solicited a loan company to make that payment for you and work out a payment plan in-between yourself and them. If the loan company you used, does not pay for your project, it leaves Avvio Solar unpaid on services rendered. Our calls to you are a gesture of good faith that we are willing to help you find alternative financing for your project rather than pursue legal action or place a lien on your home due to non payment. Currently, there has been no legal action taken up against you on this matter. Avvio can not force you to take another loan. However, if services rendered go unpaid after a considerable amount of time, then unfortunately it puts you in a breach of contract. We are still willing to help you explore other loan options but time is of the essence.

Considering the 30% tax credit. Every customers tax situation is different. We always advise our customers to speak to a tax professional (as stated in our contract) before moving forward with solar. It's the homeowners responsibility to do his/her due diligence to find out how the tax credit will work for them. If you have any questions we are still willing to help you find a solution to the current situation.

I fulfilled my end by signing up with a loan company that your company suggested to use, and highly recommended. This is not a me problem, your company needs to settle this with the loan company. I have had more than my fair share of garbage come from your company, from lies and half truths to over 8 months of waiting for my system to become available to use.

As for the tax return, I was told that I would use that credit to pay off my solar instillation to bring down my monthly payment. This should not be see a financial adviser situation, it was a blatant lie told to me by your company. The current costs estimated to me are not in my price range anymore because of the monthly payments estimated to me.

Why should I have to suffer for the faults made by your company? You need to take this up with ******, I havent even received from them about anything regarding this situation. This is a problem between Avvio and ******, Ive been making my payments.

This is for solar panels. There had been absolutely no work done on June 24th. The date I called to cancel and was told by the call center that it was canceled. I asked if there was any problem. He said no any contract termination feehe stated no then afew days later, **** don't have a last name for him. Who is with avvio solar stated that.Stuff Had already been done and I was not able to cancel without a contract termination fee of I believe he stated the first time Fifteen hundred Contact termination fee then all of a sudden. It was 5 to 7 thousand dollar contract termination fee When he was given me all the information he knew that I am physically disabled mobility issues as well as technically considered legally blind. He took the phone from me and went through the contract and said. You need to sign here and you need to sign here. And each time I would ask him what it was. And he supposedly told me that I would not have to pay a bill fir 1 year and After that, it would only be ninety five dollars a month, which would save me about thirty dollars a month on my electricity.I get a call from a loan company called good leap. And they're saying my first bill is due december first and it's going to be a hundred and forty seven dollars.I have not been able to get **** or *******. The 2 people that I have been dealing with through avio solar. To answer return my calls.I feel like i've been scammed not to mention discriminated against technically being physically dishold and stating that to them before they even started.

Hello! We were able to get in contact with our customer ******************************* back in January about this issue. Our last contact with her regarding this issue was on 1/16/2024.

We only offer a free cancellation within the first 3 days after signing the contract, which is of course stipulated in the contract itself. After any work has been completed, a payment must be made for the work performed at the property. Customer decided to go ahead and complete the installation. After the system has been installed we cannot cancel since what we offer is a product and not a service. Therefore since the product, in this case the solar system, has been delivered, we cannot cancel.
The finance company is the one responsible for any charges from that time and on and the customer is responsible for all of the payments due. We of course assist our customers to have their system operational, so in her case; we did complete all the work necessary to have a working system and she has been granted permission to operate by her utility since december.
However some adjustments needed to be completed in order to have the system operating correctly and we scheduled a date and time to go and complete this. By then, she had already received her first invoice from the finance company so we sent her a check to cover that for the amount of ******. We are unfortunately unable to cover any more of her payments since the system is working now and could only cover that one for the time she was still waiting for her system to be working.

We apologized for the time it took to have that last step completed for her but did send her that check to cover the payment because we didn't want her to pay for something that wasn't working yet.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to assist this customer.

We signed a contract for solar in November 2022. We had three months with no payments so they could get the solar up and running before our payments started. When it was not up and running after the three months we were told not to worry they would cover the $126.00 payments for three months , they did not do this. We have tried to talk to them about our solar but they never return our calls or emails or texts. We are still paying a lot for electricity on top of our solar and we wonder if they didnt give us enough panels. I feel like they got our money and now just dont care!

I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Avvio Services, with whom I entered into a contract in October 2022. It has been an incredibly frustrating and unsatisfactory journey from the very beginning. As a Spanish speaker, I expected a level of accommodation and respect for my language preferences, but unfortunately, I was met with indifference and a lack of consideration for my needs. One of the first red flags was the contract itself, which was presented to me in English despite my preference for Spanish. Signing a contract that I couldn't fully understand due to the language barrier was both unfair and unacceptable. The core issue, however, is the failure of Avvio Services to deliver on their promises. I was assured that my solar panels would be operational within three months of installation, and I would begin making solar payments at that time. Regrettably, it has been a year since I signed the contract, and my solar panels remain non-operational due to failed inspections.Throughout this ordeal, I have been forced to shoulder the financial burden of paying for a system that I cannot use. Not only have I been billed for solar payments, but my utility bills have also skyrocketed, compounding the financial strain. This situation is far from what I was led to believe when I signed up.I was originally sold on the idea of having solar panels after just three months of installation and one bill. Instead, I now find myself with two bills (SOLAR and electricity bill), equipment that is essentially useless, and a 25-year loan hanging over my head. Avvio Services has fallen far short of their promises, and their disregard for their customers' well-being is evident.Perhaps one of the most disheartening aspects of this experience has been the lack of support and communication from Avvio Services. Every time I have attempted to reach out to them for assistance, I have been met with excuses, particularly when it comes to language barriers. It is frustrating and deeply disappointing to hear that they do not care about their customers. In summary, my experience with Avvio Services has been nothing short of a nightmare. They have failed to meet their commitments, disregarded my language preferences, and have not provided the level of service and support that I was promised when I initially signed up. This company's actions have left me feeling discriminated against and utterly let down. It is clear to me that Avvio Services prioritizes their bottom line over the satisfaction and well-being of their customers. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution and consider other options before engaging with this company.

Although the process did take some time to complete due to some failed inspections, the panels on the roof of Mrs ******************************* at this point in time have passed all inspections and are functional. ******************** is now the only person holding up the ability for her panels to produce. She needs to allow OGE to turn them on yet she is refusing. What she is not mentioning is that Avvio Solar has sent her reimbursement checks in the amount of $417.24 to help, due to the long wait in activation of the panels. Avvio Services has not breached contract as said by ******************** and at this point in time has competed all obligations of said contract. These false statements are made in effort to try to cancel a legal binding purchase. As far as addressing the "discrimination" she has felt for our company not translating the agreement or communicating to her in spanish are completely false. 100% of all Avvio Solar customer service agents speak spanish fluently. She has communicated with them several times. We have recorded calls as evidence. Avvio is proud to say we are an equal opportunity employer and are also extremely proud of the fact that 100% of the agents are completely bilingual. Accusing a company of racism or discrimination when it simply hasn't been the case is defamatory and will not be tolerated. ***** on whoever wrote this complaint claiming such lies as we know it was not written by *********************.

Our Avvio Representative was *****************************. She did her part great when telling us about how the process works and getting the ball rolling. However, after our panels were scheduled to be installed we never heard from her again. Our time line is as follows:12/8/2022 Financing approved; 12/17/2022 Documents approved and signed; 2/9/2023 Panels installed; 2/13/2023 Loan payments started; 3/17/2023 Email from rep stating that the install was completed; 5/2/2023 I reached out to the service team and ****** for an update but got no response; 5/3/2023 Found the name of our project coordinator finally and reached out to her. I got a response 13 minutes later. "On our end we currently have the rough inspection scheduled. As soon as the rough inspection passes we will then schedule your final inspection. Once the final inspection is passed i will submit for Permission to Operate with OGE. Once permission to Operate is granted we will finalize the project. I am following up on the project and I can keep you updated on my end." Nothing after that; 5/26/2022 Reached out to ********* (coordinator) again with no response but we did receive a check in the mail ($175.40) to help with covering our electric bill; 7/12/2023 Reached out to ********* (coordinator) again with no response; 8/7/2023 Date of complaint to BBB.I am beyond disappointed with this. I've noticed others having to wait 4-5 months and I would've been semi-okay with that. However, 8 months with no end in sight is making me mad. I'm making payments on the panels and payments to my electric company even though I have a perfectly good solar system. I've been in contact with the electric company this whole time to verify that we are not waiting on them. It would be great if Avvio could reach out and give me a full status update, complete the project, and start paying my electric bills for me until the project is complete.

Sign solar contract with Avvio in December 2022, installation process began in January 2023. All work has stopped as of March 2023. Avvio claimed they were waiting on *** inspection. Spoke with chief inspector for OKC, who discovered Avvio had scanned into their system documents requested by the inspector, but never contacted inspector letting them know information had been sent in. Avvio claims they have personnel whose sole job is to contact city inspector offices regarding on going projects on a daily basis. Since the city inspector hadn't spoken to anyone from Avvio regarding requested information having been submitted, but I very easily got in touch with him, I find Avvio's claim suspect. Calls to city inspector occurred in May 2023, after several calls to Avvio contact who stated they were contacting the city inspector daily and were waiting on the city's inspection. Fast forward to July 2023, panels have been installed since March 2023, but still not turned on because Avvio is "waiting to hear from the city inspector". I want the installation completed and panels turned on or I want them off my roof and FULLY refunded.

Hello! We have gotten in contact with this customer already and have completed the job succesfully as of 1/22/2024 when our customer was granted permission to operate by their utility company.

We do have a person assigned to each account that is in constant contact with the cities' inspectors to find out if they have any updates for us and we have been told by several customers that the inspectors always claim that we haven't gotten in contact with them, even when we have evidence ofus contacting them.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for this customer. Thanks!

We had our panels installed October 7th, 2022 and were given a timeline of 8-12 weeks to get them live. Since then, it has been a mess of trying to get Avvio to come out, constantly messaging and calling them to figure out what our timeline is only to be ignored or placated with excuses. We have been EXTREMELY patient and when we were finally going to get the panels turned on by OG&E, we were told the installation was incomplete, missing the bypass meter and the electric panel being installed incorrectly. That was June 10th. Since then, we have still not been able to get Avvio out to fix the meter and electric panel. We did have to deny them coming due to nobody being home and then a hospital visit the week of June 19th, however that was 3 weeks ago and we still don't have a completion date. They were supposed to come out July 5th after much communication, and then they canceled that appointment with no warning and didn't even bother to let us know or give us an alternate date for completion. The communication from this company is absolutely atrocious. At this point we are considering looking into if there is any possible legal action that can be taken seeing as it has been almost a year and we are not only paying our very high electric payments due to the heat but also the solar panel payment for a nonexistent service. We started this process in the fall so that we would have solar for the summer. Will not be recommending this company to ANYBODY even if they do manage to get the panels turned on.

I was approached in Jan about installing solar panels on my house. It is now June. Avvio Solar has been an absolute NIGHTMARE to work with. The panels are on my house. The circuit box is installed. The meter box is there, but there's no meter in it. The first worker comes out and is apparently is missing a piece, and will be back in a day or two to install it. He never returns. A few weeks later they reach out to me again that they need to do more work. Was told they'd be out from ****. 4 hits. No one has been here, no one has reached out. I contact the solar company and I get a response saying that the worker says that he texted me they were running late. That never happened. 6 hits. No one has been here. I start to leave to go find food and there's a car in my driveway! Turns out it's the Avvio workers. They turn around and start messing with my meter. They then knock on the door because they've found the missing piece that the other worker just never finished. They cannot do their work. Few hours later (probably around 8-9) we're in the house and hear voices ************* outside and the workers are back. They never knocked or said they were returning. Just showed up on my property. No idea if they finished it but there's still not a meter in the wall box. That was three weeks ago and I haven't heard from anyone. The other big caveat is that they have to get permission from the power company (AEP/PSO) and they've assigned me someone named ********* to be the go between. This has also crumbled. AEP has sent multiple emails because apparently the work was anticipated to be done in FEBRUARY and it's definitely not done. The emails from PSO state that if they don't get any updated information, they will pull my application. ********* just ghosted! I have no point of contact with these people. I've gotten an email stating the install is complete and I'm expected to start paying on the system.

Thank you for your concerns. After reviewing your project I was able to see, we finished your installation on 5/10. We had a city inspection on 6/13 and inspector requested few labels to be placed. Once final inspection pass. AEP place meter and grant ********** to operate and will be able to turn the system on.

I do see we have communicated with you through out the process of you project. Please feel free to contact us if you have you have any questions and or concerns. ************

Just as other complaints have stated, AVVIO installed solar panels on our home in February of 2023 and they have never been connected. The portal continues to say that we are in the process of inspection. I've tried every phone number that I can find for the company, but none work - or say the voicemail is full. I've left voicemail messages with the person who sold me the system but these contacts have not been returned. I am now stuck paying for both electric services and some very expensive solar panels with no apparent recourse. I want the system to be connected or the panels removed from our roof and all monies returned. I will find another reputable company with whom to do business. I wish I had checked this company out before signing a contract. Please beware of these scammers.

We had a solar person come to our house and quote and sell us a solar system. Part of this system also included a Generac generator. The panels were installed on our roof 10/22. Electricians came out and did the required panel upgrades in 11/22. In December, I called and inquired when our Generac generator would be delivered and installed. We were told it was ordered and was back order. They would contact us once it came in. Here we are in 4/23. Our system is still not activated and supplying power to the grid. Inspections still have not been done. We got a call saying the inverters they installed are defective, further delaying their completion. They also finally showed up to deliver and install our generator. They showed up with a ************ camping generator and tried to play it off as the same thing. The finance company has started billing me for the system in December. I am being billed for something that has yet to start working or have promises delivered.
