We received Leeandras vehicle on 9/17/2024 with a complaint of her transmission, AAMCO checked out the customers vehicle with a free inspection where we will drive, scan the computer and do a overall inspection. After the inspection we found that the transmission has an internal failure that we will have to remove disassemble and inspect for cause of failure to get the customer a price to fix her **********************, codes had a u0101 lost communication with transmission control module, fluid was burnt and will go into fail safe mode when driving. the customer approved us to remove and disassemble the transmission for a fee of $800.00 . the customer paid $400.00 up front. We got the transmission diagnosed and contacted the customer that the ********************** will need to be rebuild and replace the transmission computer for the total repair cost of $5898.11. The customer declined because she could not afford the repair. She wanted us to put the transmission back together at no additional cost. we told her we will to help her out. We tried to reassemble the unit but the transmission was just too far damaged to do so. we contacted the customer and let her no that only thing we can do is box up the transmission and will have to be towed out with the parts. The customer came in screaming and yelling and did not want to pay us the remaining $400 dollars she owed us , she stormed out screaming she's calling the cops because she owed us $400 dollars. We told the cops we will waive the 400 dollars just to end this ordeal. Thank you
