      May 24, 2022 My vehicle was serviced at Joe's Auto for basic summer maintenance. Their Tech inspected my vehicle and recommended services to which I declined most. The only services authorized was:1) Radiator change w/new hoses 2) Throttle valve body cleaning 3) Fuel Induction Service After they performed their services, my vehicle suddenly had 'engine noise'. My vehicle has been properly maintained for over 20 years, and I have the records to prove it. The damage they did to my vehicle is upwards of $8000 as the engine needs to be replaced. They have denied any wrongdoing and have not tried to correct the damage they caused to my vehicle. I would not recommend this business and would avoid at all costs.

      ************************** brought his **** ***** Prelude to ** with the request of an overall inspection.

      The technician found and replaced a damaged radiator, along with its attached coolant hoses, clamps, and filled the system with new antifreeze.

      Upon his arrival to collect the ***** Prelude after the radiator repair, his engine did experience an internal issue. This is obviously to both his and our surprise and dismay, as the car passed a test drive and recheck with no issues prior to his arrival.

      The store manager agreed to do a 5 hour engine inspection, completely free of charge, to find the cause of the issue. If we had found something we were at fault for, we would have fixed it, and further issues would be shown to the customer. 

      Upon tear down, we did find bottom end damage where there was no clearance between 2 connecting rods, causing interference. We clearly explained how this is a separate issue from what can be caused by a radiator replacement that we performed. We did legwork to find options that would suit the customer and he instead decided to take it as-is.

      We understand the frustration of having multiple vehicle issues back to back, however the vehicle is a 24 year old ***** with *******+ miles on it, and an engine version not know for its longevity. The problems he's having were inevitable, it's just under bad coincidence that it happened during the same week timeframe as we serviced his radiator.
