Went walking in the Mall with my kids my younger son has really bad acne and he is self-conscious about it like all teens. He went to grab a sample and they lured him in i went to go grab him but he wanted to have them do whatever it was they did. I tried to tell them that I wanted to leave but they kept pushing and pushing and wouldn't let us leave, I was so upset my son wanted to get the product I told him NO! They told me that the scrub and cream was $200 and showed me pictures of how well the product is so I agreed to $200 I was charged $546.00 on my debit card and went back to return the face scrub and cream since it burned my son skin and like I told the guy I could not afford this now im out $546.00 and my son can't even use the product since they won't return the product when they said that you have a 30-day guarantee. please help this is deceiving and looks like im, not the only one who was a victim of their predatory ways.

was visiting ******* mall and employee names ****** was standing outside his store and he started to show me his products and he forcefully sold me his one cream by saying he gave me personal employee discount. Then later on he said he can give me free appointment for face check up. Then I agreed and they booked my appointment for 7:30 pm. When I tried to get out of store because it was only 6:30 pm, ****** grabbed my bag of the product I just bought so that I could not cancel the appointment. Then ***** came and started to ask my personal life. Then they told me that they have machine that can solve my face issue as she was talking about my personal life , she opened her tablet and asked for my ******** ID and then she said she can help me by making me vip. Then later on she took my details and asked me to sign in the tablet saying it's just a registration form. Later on, when I came home I got to know that it was worth $10,076 loan. I went next day to tell them that they never informed me about any loan agreement and then they told me that I have signed the agreement and can't cancel it. All the items are in original form but they said they made final sale. They played a game with me and took my sign and then said it's a final sale without telling me it was loan and any other thing.

My mother (she) is 82 years old and is easily confused/disoriented by a stream of verbal or written information and/or pressure and will easily capitulate, in agreement, just to make the confusion/pressure stop. This condition is easily noticeable once she is engaged. On October 25, ****, she was enticed to enter a store at the local mall. Once inside, she was engaged by multiple salespeople, at one time, that began a high-pressure sales routine and would not allow her to leave, although she requested to leave several times because she had a doctor ************ During this routine, they continued to pressure and detain her until she agreed to purchase the products that had been presented. They then broke up the purchase into several purchases on her ********** card. (They also, physically, took her bank debit card and made a purchase on that because she does not know how to make a purchase on a debit card.) It seems they may have been breaking up the purchases to avoid triggering any limit stops. This is a clear instance of elder abuse; preying on an elderly person who easily and obviously becomes overwhelmed. We attempted to return the product and obtain a refund on November 29, ****, when she advised me that she needed money to pay her ********** statement for product that she was ashamed and humiliated that she had succumbed to purchasing. I went to the merchant location, advised of the situation and remitted the product for a refund. The merchant had me complete a refund request form and advised that they would contact me within one to two days regarding the refund. They also advised that I retain the product as the refund department may request that we remit it via mail. After a few days with no call, I returned to the merchant and advised we had not been contacted. They advised that the corporate office would handle the return and call in a few days. The merchant never called.

Client had recently lost her husband a year ago, and within the last few months a relative and good friend had also passed away. Clients mental state was vulnerable. She went inside the Arrowhead mall and had gone inside a store called Arrowhead Bell who sells cosmetics and skin care products. According to client, high pressured tactics were used to get her to buying 12K worth of products. When it was time to pay, she was surprise to find out how much it cost, as her credit card did not have enough funds. The saleslady suggested to use another card, and client gave her debit card. She was charged $10,000 on her credit card and $2000 on her debit card. When she came home, she told her son about what had happened. Her son went back to the store and tried to return the products and get a refund. Store would not take the products and was told to fill out a refund form. Son was told that a representative would contact the client about the refund form. Client did not receive a phone call and had not yet received a refund.

This happened to me on Jan 9, 20**. I felt it was a high-pressure sales tactic and returned the product within three days. However, I found out I am not protected from high pressure sales in this kind of business. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General, CIC # **-000937 as of today nothing is resolved. They want to make money by outsmarting seniors, with top notch hard sell associates, whose plan included, covering my face with drippy products, wear me down with constant verbiage, in my face, for 1 1/2 hours. I protested that this was not a good time for me but was ignored. I was on medication for anxiety, at the time. My doctor knows about this attack on my person at a weak time in my life. I am 80 and was moving after 35 years. it was all a traumatic experience. They don't let the senior put their card in the machine, because that would give them pause to think about the sale. Instead, they take the card away bring back slips to sign, all the while the victim is covered in drippy products, barely able to see. No time for thinking afforded to the senior citizen, because of constant chatter by the high-pressure associate. I have plenty of proof as I tried to solve this issue, they are aware of this problem and do not plan to change their ways. I was charged over $17,000.00 and they offered me $4,000.00 back, which i turned down because they would not promise to stop the high-pressure sales tactic. Someone with authority needs to step in and protect the Seniors in Glendale.
