In September 2020, Top Property Shop accepted our application from an assistance program that promised us a permanent solution for housing. For 2 years we paid rent based on our income of $2990/month, totaling $11,939.54. We are a family of 4 in Maricopa County *******, averaging $3,600/month. They know this. Instead of continuing to charge rent based on our very low income status, they raised our rent amount 394%. We went from paying just under $500/month to over $2000/month today. Our only option is to pay the 394% rent increase, or give a 30 day notice to vacate. This is NOT an option. Its an ultimatum! Over 50% of our income, over the past 14 months, has gone for rent ONLY. We have no options. We are priced out of any continued housing assistance. We believe this company is exploiting housing assistance programs for profit. We believe they extort money from low income families until they cant pay anymore, then kick them out. We are victims of, what we believe, is a profiteering scheme or scam by Top Property Shop and the homeowner *********************************. Please call, text email me, ************, anytime, day or night.Thank You Sincerely, ************ and Family P.S. Our grievances with this company, are epic!

      Customer response

      01/05/2024

The issues I would like Top Property Shop to address are the following
Why the extortion of funds from a low income family, you reached out to help in 2020?
Why arent we communicating a reasonable solution?
Why are they denying us what we were promised?
      Permanent housing.

Why do we have to live with bad plumbing, exploding floor tiles, a rotting porch roof, 5 beautiful giant trees in need of pruning, a fridge that freezes food, an unusable dishwasher with black undefinable, unremovable stains on the inside.  A chipped glass stove top, enormous electric bills(original A/C unit, we believe), etcetera.
The constant interruption of these issues are met with minimal, superficial, inefficient, and incomplete repair work.
And interrupting our lives, A LOT!

The kitchen faucet still drips, there is a cut branch suspended high up in a tree, held by 2 drooping branches, over the public mailboxes, on the other side of the wall, where the tree broke the wall, when it fell, after we told TPS the trees need to be pruned.
Madi, it goes on and on.

There is so much more we need to discuss with TPS, and they are ghosting us.
I understand, its difficult to face people, when one knows they are doing wrong.
As tenants we are supposed to have, at least, the phone number of homeowner, **********************************
      We do not.

We were never supposed to be tenants in the first place.
We were told this house, if WE choose, can be our permanent home.
With that, we believed this house, our home, would be a rent to own opportunity.

The resolution we are seeking is, we want a house.
Top Property Shop For All ******************* where is ours?
Top Property Shop and ********************************* agreed to a program that promised The ****** Family a permanent home.
This is the resolution I am seeking.

      Thank You.
