I bought a new built home and closed on June 8, 2022. I moved in June 11,2022. The first time it rained my roof leaked in the front bedroom, and a bedroom on the east side of the home. . I notified the roofing company immediately . I was told someone would be out to assess the situation . They did not show up until I called the builder . They told me that queen ***** is known for having side winds the get up under the tiles . I told them that was impossible since it happened in opposite sides of the home . I have a 2 story home on the east side . They have yet to sit down with me to explain what is happening. They sent someone out for a quick fix for front of the house and never got back to me about the back bedroom until I complained to the builder and they sent someone out to set up dryers etc . They removed a lot of insulation, and still no word from the roofers . It has now rained in my home 5 times in the back bedroom , and twice in the front bedroom. This was after the so called fix . When I complained to the builder . I was told that there was 50 hr winds by my home and that could be the cause . My house has been torn up since the first rain . I want my home inspected by a no biased third party, a new roof repair that will not show a bunch of patch work, and my house put back in order . It is now September and now Im told it will be a week or two before they get out to my home , and it is raining again tonight. I am worried about mold , moisture, soiled carpet , etc. the builder says they will get things cleaned up when roof is done but I am worried about how my roof was constructed since it has had 5 leaks since I moved in. This shady work will be something I have to worry about from now on if it is not made right . This can cause me problems down the road with possible insurance claims against me . I have taken multiple days off work to be home to have no one show up. My girls are sleeping on couches in another room. This has been extremely stressful.Business response

We sent out our ****************** Manager and he went to inspect the roof and discuss what is happening with the homeowner. He will schedule the date of repair with the homeowner. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Roof damage due to wind, per ******************* and building code, should have withstood winds up to 90 mph. I have attempted via phone and email to resolve this however I get no responses back. ***** is the person who should be helping and he refuses to answer the phone or respond.Business response

Customers damage was caused by a monsoon storm / microburst which hit the valley hard. A section of homes were affected due to the wind/mircroburst. JLC Roofing Inc., installed the roof according to the Roofing ******************** When ************** contacted us we did attempt to talk with the person he called in *********** we could not get any one to quote us the ******************* says that winds should hold up to 90 mph winds. I believe whomever he was speaking to may have been from out of state and/or assumed something that was not correct. The customer requested wind clips which are not required in *******. We advised that we could add them but there would be a fee involved since it is out of the scope of what is required. Customer paid for us to install the wind clips and appeared to be happy with the job that was done. This is the first we have heard that he is not happy with the roof and I think it is due to misinformation given to him by someone in the ******************* and or the cost of paying to repair a new roof that was installed correctly but could not withhold under a direct monsoon / micro burst that hit in that area.Customer response

This complaint was issued long before - the business had since resolved it to my satisfaction. No further action needed.
